When reheating pasta it's a good idea to splash some liquid on it beforehand so it reheats better.
You can just splash some water on it but milk, cream, or a bit of melted butter will do the trick.

^this is correct! We've found milk keeps it creamy when reheating, which is the way our family likes it.

'Nother thing I noticed helps.
After (not before) you've heated up something like kraft dinner style mac-n-cheese, add a tiny bit of mayo or miracle-whip to it. Not a lot because mayo has a very overpowering taste, but just a bit, and it'll thicken it up nicely. Again, after it's been microwaved seems best. Works to freshen up most creamy/cheesy pasta.
