No it doesnt.

I don’t care for that, the idea of a new S2000 would be cool, but I wouldn’t want it looking like yet another Prius copycat like the Prelude does. The proportions also feel all wrong in their little mockup.
In this case, I’m glad it isn’t real.

I don't get why people say this about the purosangue/prelude/etc. like its a bad thing, the current gen prius is a great looking car
stav_and_nick@reddit
I'd be much happier if we actually got a GR Prius tbh
Seeker80@reddit
Yeah, doesn't have to be anything wild. I hadn't been keeping up-to-date, but the base Prius having 196hp already sounds like a hot rod compared to early models, and the 220hp of the plug-in takes that up another notch or two. There's an awd setup, too.
For a GR Prius, I could see them potentially using a different electric motor that can provide some added power, at the cost of not keeping the charge as long. Obviously mpg would suffer, that's a given. If power was up to 270hp or so, that would be quite punchy. Additionally, the current awd system seems to be helping with grip rather than outright power distribution. But if it could be tuned differently...just saying, maybe it could help a little with turn-in. Won't be a rally star or a drift monster, but it could be the sort of thing that makes a very different sort of Prius.
Just imagine the great 'Morizo' taking on the personal challenge of making the Prius a bit of a scorcher.

I've been asking for this since the launch of the gen and have sworn to immediately buy one if it is available
we saw some concepts at Le Mans but nothing since

People say it because they have eyes. It’s not a knock against the Prius, it’s a knock against Honda for having a copycat design.
hi_im_bored13@reddit
I don't think its particularly surprising that two hybrid efficiency-oriented liftbacks look similar
icecream_specialist@reddit
It is a great looking car but it's not what certain nostalgic models should look like
futuredreampop@reddit
I like the design language. Unfortunately, I don't think Honda has the courage to make another S2000.
tri_9@reddit
Before anyone starts throwing a fit (pun intended), the article is just about a render.
Select_Anywhere_1576@reddit
Still mad that Honda discontinued the Fit in the US. The HR-V is just another lame underpowered compact crossover. At least the Fit was fun to drive.
Ancient_Persimmon@reddit
The HR-V morphed into a less interesting, modern take on the Wagovan.
mini4x@reddit
With zero interior space, we moved a full size fridge in my uncles Fit.
Select_Anywhere_1576@reddit
Getting rid of the magic seats was criminal. I don't care if it went from Fit based to Civic based, that was a dumb idea.
Ancient_Persimmon@reddit
The magic seats were amazing, my only complaint after 4 years of using them is the compromise to the gas tank; it was a real pain for it to show empty with 30% of its fuel left.
mini4x@reddit
yeah, that will never be the Prelude, the upcoming Prelude will probably be essentially a 2-door civic SI.
ggtsu_00@reddit
Better an actual artist render than an article based on an AI generated render.
UnmakingTheBan2022@reddit
These articles shouldn’t even see the day of light.
redcatmanfoo@reddit
This is exactly why I'm gonna throw a fit. Get this garbage outta here.
atomicskiracer@reddit
Really wish we would ban horrible render articles
fhs@reddit
Yeah and a crappy uninspiring and uninspired one. Mixed Toyota front end with the s2000 side basically copy pasted. Save yourselves a click
ggtsu_00@reddit
Why does the front-end look so much like the most recent Camry?

Maize_Individual@reddit
What a shit article.
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
That's typical bite click Carscoops article, it was why any Carscoop and Motor1 article been banned before.
_galaga_@reddit
Took a horizontal line out of the Prelude grille that makes this more like the Prius but either way roadsters look better to me with more well-defined “eyes” rather than horizontal elements that stretch across the entire front.
Jdslogin@reddit
I have wished the old s2000 could look more like a Prius
