Any Use for These?

My wife gets her medicine in these small styrofoam coolers with reusable ice packs. Is there any use for these or reason to keep them as far as prepping uses is concerned? Just want to make sure I’m not overlooking something, as I was thinking about throwing some or all of them out. They are roughly 11” w by 9” d by 10” high. Thanks!

I put them in the Little Library

Medication storage. Both using the ice packs and the coolers. Those things keep stuff cold for days - even weeks - and (in my case) insulin needs to be kept refrigerated at least for long-term storage.

We use these all the time when we take cooler somewhere. We give them away. I have no idea how long they last

you can melt styrofoam using a mix of acetone and d-limonene, to yield a flexible plastic that hardens when left in the air.
but in terms of space efficiency, storing a lot of styrofoam is among the least valuable uses of a particular volume.

There’s TONS you can do with the coolers. Line them with a plastic bag, store fish

Keep those packs for possible overheating. Pack in high blood flow areas (groin, back of neck, chest and armpits).

The mini styrofoam cooler is good for storing a few extra water bottles in my trunk.
It insulates the bottles from high heat in summer and helps stop them freezing in winter.
It also protects the trunk from water and mold should one of the bottles accidentally leak.

We use both reusable and disposable ice packs often
Disposables are great for storing in a car or other hot place, for icing wounds or reducing swelling.

Reusable ice packs are always useful, from injuries to keeping stuff cold for beach trips. The styrofoam coolers I’m sure you can do something with them too. You could cut them into blocks/sheets and use them to insulate single pane windows in the winter maybe?
