Hello all! I have currently just started ripping out a VG33ER supercharged engine out of a 03 Xterra with a 5speed MT. I bought a mint 244 shell for $500 and got the engine for 1k, with 120psi in all cylinders. This engine could be its very first kind of build for a 244 scene. Let me know if you want to see more progress as the by next year I plan on getting it to run and drive under stock ecu and power!

Will do! I don't know much about the VG33ERs yet but I plan on learning more and figuring out if the 5MT will fit in the tunnel or need to go with a T5 trans

It's basically the same engine that was in the Z31 300ZX. VG33 swaps are quite popular and any of the Z31 transmissions will bolt up to one. The 84-86 turbo cars actually came with a T5. You'll find that the ER won't really make very impressive power with the supercharger. It's a bit undersized for the engine. You'd be better off dropping it for a turbo.

I am aware of the supercharger wasn't meant for power. At the moment, getting everything up and in the car is the first goal. The ~210hp will be plenty of hp for the 240 as the stock power is only 150hp and the 280tq will give it that extra kick. Do you have any aftermarket sites that sell parts for engine components? Thanks for the info!

There's really not a lot for aftermarket for these. If you're happy with the stock power, you could just leave it as is. As I mentioned, if you're looking for a more sporty drive, you could pick up a set of cams from a Z31. They have different profiles than the ones that were in the trucks. They will drop right in and should wake the engine up a bit.
