What do they look for in your UA?

Does anyone have any knowledge about what they look for in your required UA’s? I’ve never failed one but always curious what they find. If you’ve ever had a false positive or failed let us know what happened.

Usually false positives come from bad clinics. I had one, and forced a retest with an actual nurse, and passed. Clinics in high traffic areas are the worst. Typically they look at sample heat, and toxicity.

If you fail a DOT drug test, the UA, or refuse one you get to go through an SAP program via the clearinghouse. Then that haunts you for the rest of your career since you’ll have to get an employer that will higher a SAP driver. Most won’t. If you know it’s false then get an attorney and fight it. Both options are expensive. Don’t risk it if you want to keep your license.
