That was my nickname my senior year after I flew my car in the air over a minivan. My passenger back tire got the back corner on the driver's side.
I was running a red light, when a church van pulled out, so I jerked my steering wheel hard to the right, hit a median like it was a ramp, clipped the van, hit another median ramp, came down on my passenger side first, blew out all my tires, and my frame was bent in a V. Somehow I kicked my door open trying to flee because I thought my car would explode.
This was after I hit a soccer player who ran after his ball into the street without looking to see a car coming. He was fine, and only scraped his knee when he fell off my hood.
I was an EMT after that, and my only wrecks since then has been from being rear ended.
We played video games as kids, but they were, more or less, things we’d do once we had to come inside.
We didn’t want to be inside, so we’d create games on the fly to have fun.
Bored?
Let’s play ninjas guys. It’s like hide and seek, but you can only hide in trees or on roofs. 123 not it.
Agreed. Also...the video games and cartoons we had, were pretty wack. Either too hard, nowhere near as good as the arcade, and were basic. The cartoons were only on at certain times, and were nowhere near as sophisticated or captivating as the ones nowadays. I love the 80s, but games and shows definately evolved to make them better.
There's something so darkly funny about him losing his helmet halfway through most of these.
Also, not sure if this is the same Evel Knievel toy that I had as a kid, but good lord, that thing was fast. I got forbidden from playing with it inside after the first time I let it shoot through the kitchen.
This level of entertainment is always what I expected of toys that were supposed to be ice skaters or gymnasts. The fact that they didn't actually do anything made them pretty boring in my opinion.

You show me a toy made in the last 5 years that works that well and doesn't break after a week.

RIP Super Dave
barefoot_sailor@reddit
Fun fact. Super Dave Osborn is the real life brother of Albert Einstein.
VitalArtifice@reddit
While not true, it is surprising that he actually was the brother of Albert Brooks, aka Marlin from Finding Nemo. And that’s pretty cool too.
SteelpointPigeon@reddit
It’s technically true, if misleading. Albert Brooks’s birth name was Albert Lawrence Einstein.
Solid-Hedgehog9623@reddit
Have you watched the Albert brooks doc that came out in the last few years? Fun show.
Pittman247@reddit
Not true.

When I was a kid: I’m not going to play with these toys when I’m an adult. I won’t need them anymore. 45 me: watches video god damnit. 🫤
