I didn’t know they ever made those for the model 59!
welcome316@reddit (OP)
Yea the only reason I bought the 59 is because I found the light.
USMC_Tbone@reddit
What pistol is on the very bottom right. About the only one I can't quite recognize.

S&w 59

Retro weapon lights, but your USPs dont have UTLs
*noticed your comment that these were specifically Surefire lights
welcome316@reddit (OP)
I actually do collect older insight lights also, I have 2 usp utl’s but I do like the Surefire stuff better.
Chemical-Amoeba5837@reddit
I upgraded the my UTLs with the old OEM LEDs to double the output of the old xenon lamps, which brought me up to about 150 lumens, then recently upgraded the bezels and put new LED bulbs, but they flicker under shock and I can't figure out how to get them to stay on consistently
ureathrafranklin1@reddit
I’ve been looking for the ones on the left for years, never seen them for sale
welcome316@reddit (OP)
They pop up once in a while on eBay but unfortunately they end up selling for more than the actual pistols they belong on go for.
all_of_the_sausage@reddit
"....and they usually end up going to my house"
welcome316@reddit (OP)
Lmao that actually made me laugh.
fourleggedpython@reddit
Do you set up alerts to find these? Been trying to snag a Beretta 92fs, 1911, and sig model
Juniorslothsix@reddit
Who made the suppressed 1911 top right
welcome316@reddit (OP)
It’s a kimber Icqb clone that I just added a can to.
Juniorslothsix@reddit
Yeah I built one out of a tisas recently, loving it
welcome316@reddit (OP)
That’s dope. Tisas is probably more reliable than kimber now but this is an older kimber and I’ve been extremely lucky with it so far lol.
Juniorslothsix@reddit
That’s awesome
ToBlayyyve@reddit
I've always wondered how those were attached to guns like the 92FS that had no rail. Did they just drill the frame?
welcome316@reddit (OP)
They are not. They would come with a longer extended takedown/slide release lever that would also slide through the light. Then there is a small set screw underneath just to tighten up the tension.
diprivanity@reddit
Super cool. Which one set you back the most?
welcome316@reddit (OP)
The 1911 ones definitely, the next most expensive was the browning that i paid around 800.
TryShootingBetter@reddit
Where's the 14th one? You have a wml lying around for it
I17eed2change@reddit
Jesus some of them look like camcorders that should come with tripods
Leptonshavenocolor@reddit
You're taking up gun ownership of at least 11 other Americans!
dadgineer1701@reddit
I used to work at SureFire and we didn’t even have all of these archived lol
welcome316@reddit (OP)
That’s crazy, you woukd think a big company like that would want to keep a couple just for reference.
dadgineer1701@reddit
When things are really obsolete and space is at a premium for new machines, equipment, etc., it’s not financially worth it to keep a 30-40 year old weapon light. I was an end user for a decade prior to being an engineer there and was really bummed to not find some of those old lights kicking around. Stuff like a 660 was pretty easy to piece together though lol
wisockamonster@reddit
Sick spread ya got there
welcome316@reddit (OP)
Thank you!
