I have that on emulator and holy hell it is just as bad as it is claimed to be.
It’s like a cross between Adventure and Pitfall where you die on the first screen and quit because it has none of the charm of the other two.
That was me. I didn't necessarily think I was a failure, just that this game was really hard and regret for wasting months of allowances on it. Same with Indiana Jones - those damned tsetse flies.
When I was a kid in the 80s, we made friends by word of mouth as to who had which 2600 games. A friend would show up with kids I didn’t know, but they brought their games in a gym bag.
There was always that one kid with Intellivision or Colecovision….
Low Effort - Posts or comments that hold no value to the sub may be removed. This includes but isn't limited to:
* First/Last <whatever>
* Pictures, comics, or memes with no context (Yes, you need to put some effort.)
* One word comments (ex: This!)
Really a testament to an almost lost imagination. Like here's crap, that as kids we turned into like changing adventures. Yes the blue dot is you and no there's no arms. Green dot is an alien! Some were actually great, other better than most and most being "Dan, the wizard who escaped the dark dungeon of the Frost king Ghelamt \[blue dot\]......."
I love collecting video games. I only have one Atari game though. M.A.S.H. as this generation is probably the most avoided one in game collecting. So many memories. Lotta big pixel.
I still love the stuff. Thank Zorg for emulation.
I have mine hooked up to a tube tv.
This was in November when I was making sure it still worked. It does. And I still suck at Ms. PAC Man.

There are mods you can do to output a signal that will work with more modern inputs. I’d recommend benheck.com but his site appears to not support https and the browser freaks out. There are two directories though, might be able to find info in those if it’s not available elsewhere.
An adapter is required. I have one, but got it years ago now. It’s basically a block that allows you to turn a few different connections to this block, that had audio/video wires (set of three, usually different colours) to connect to TV
One of my fave things about 2600 is that many of the very best games are super common. Warlords is amazing, they've got like 6 copies. Combat, Asteroids, Defender, Space Invaders, all great, all super common.
