PPAER EXAM CANADA RADIO QUESTIONS

I am trying to conserve my time and resources and noticed that the mock exam for the PPAER from TC doesn't even have radio questions, and the guide has limited info. In the FTGU, there is a lot of info. Should I only study what is in the guide, or something else? Anybody who wrote the exam knows how much radio stuff is on there?

It’s been a long time since I wrote the PPAER but as far as I remember there weren’t really any radio questions. The test is divided into categories: General Knowledge, Air Law, Meteorology, and Navigation. If you get any questions about the radios they would fall under General Knowledge, and you’ll likely only see one or maybe two, as there’s a lot of ground to cover there.

To look at it from another angle, you’re already a licensed radio operator. You demonstrated your proficiency during your ROC-A. Transport doesn’t have any reason to further assess your radio knowledge at this point, especially considering you’ll have to demonstrate your practical proficiency and systems knowledge with the radios during your flight test.

Thank you so much! All of this makes sense, and I will focus more on other areas now
