let me tell you a story. I was in Aldi today. and I noticed a male putting it looked like 9 chicken breasts into his backpack. He then looked around and I sort of subtly followed him to not make it obvious. he zipped his backpack up and hovered near the entrance. Most supermarkets you cannot leave very easily as you have to go through checkout and they have made it sort of anti-shoplifting now however He waited for somebody to open the automatic entrance door when they came in the building and tried walking out with them. At this point I grabbed his backpack and pulled him back into the store to where he started shouting at me "ITS TO SURVIVE IM STRUGGLING." security then came over and emptied his backpack before he then ran off. What are your guys thoughts on this... should I have left him to it as i am sure he would just go to another store and do the same thing? Should i have called the police? security told me to not bothered as 'they never do anything' and they get regular shoplifters everyday.
