So because shareholders don't want to see the consequences of their money making decisions we should all pay higher prices? When investing money into shares you know the risks, ordinary people shouldn’t have to pay for that risk.  If a company is that bad at balancing its profit margins that it needs people to starve to keep afloat then it’s not a very successful company.  People who are spending their last tenner buying a meal for their child while they go hungry for another night are not putting their pensions into the stock market.  Nobody aspires to be criminal when they’re young. Time and time again it is shown that crime has direct links to poverty. People who are in poverty and/or addicted to drugs often grew up in the care system, they were often abused as children, and they’re often not given any opportunities because of people like yourself who look down on them.  Perhaps take a step out your bubble for a second and actually speak to people in these kinds of situations because from your comment I can tell you’ve had a very privileged life (no hate). When you’re that far from these people who are real people, it’s easy to forget that one persons loss in profits in another persons only meal.
