What is your dream car brand?

I am just wondering what your dream car is and which model you want to drive in the future?

Aston Martin for me. They are categorically beautiful. I don't care that there are faster cars. Astons are the prettiest.
ScareyAntelope@reddit
About 43 years ago I was at a toll booth, and alongside me a ā70ās Vantage pulled up then roared off into the distance, loved the cars already but that was a special moment. 30 years later I had two friends (who didnāt know each other) who both had DB6 Vantages - deeply annoying, but beautiful cars, even though it gave me my first lesson on the fact that AMās all have little annoyances that he have to live with - quirks if you will. 10 years ago, after 40 years of very hard work, I retired and bought a ā13 V8 Vantage - and it was glorious. Did 25k miles in it, sold it last year and bought a DB11. Ferrari are too obvious, Lamborghini too childish, Maserati and McLaren beautiful but unreliable, and everyone has a Porsche - give me the brute in a suit any time.
Suspicious-Dust6978@reddit
This is why I was dead-set on my e92 M3. I laugh when an M340 or new 911s pulls up next to me - have at it, youāll smoke me and we both know it, but we both also know whose car sounds better. Acceleration and speed are fun, but Iāll take the sound of a screaming V8 over that trait any day.
jrileyy229@reddit
And yet when you're driving it, you aren't going to see any of that
DrivenDiscourse@reddit
You can see, feel and experience the interior
jrileyy229@reddit
Absolutely, and they have very nice interiors as do all cars at that price point.Ā However the question was "which car would you most like to drive" and answering that with Aston because it's pretty seems counter intuitive to me
DrivenDiscourse@reddit
That is part of the driving experience to a lot of people..
jrileyy229@reddit
So it makes sense to you? Someone asks you what car you most want to drive and why? And you would say 'aston because it's pretty on the outside'?
DrivenDiscourse@reddit
Yes

My vote as well. I want a VH Vantage in the next 5 years but I worry on part availability.

Such a cool car but as the hippie, environmentalist that hates the oil industry, I felt like a plug-in hybrid power train would have made it the perfect car for all my needs .

Well. I had an entire vision for General Motors circa 2003, and Iāve never really let go of it.
My particular favs from my vision for this brand were:
Eldorado. A long, lean, and low halo car, a 2+2 with a corporate 5.1l Northstar II V8. 375hp in NA trim, around 450 with a supercharger.
Cadillac Devilās Maiden Deuce. The Deuce would have been a 3-series fighter, and Devilās Maiden would have been the M/AMG/RS type trim. NA 5.1l V8, 6-speed stick or some token automatic.
Peregrine. Would have been a top-tier luxobarge, playing with Rolls and co. You could get that Northstar II supercharged V8, a corporate 6.0l V12 which would have been in some other oddball flagships, or an 8.0l V16 meant to hark back to some of Cadillacās finest in the 20s and 30s.
Fleetwood Sixty Special. The top-dog, big people-mover Cadillac. Can be ordered bespoke, with armor, or vanilla. 6.0l V12 standard, other powertrains upon request. Made to be on the order of an S-class Mercedes, that kind of crowd.
In between a standard crowd of luxury offerings. 3-, 5- and 7-series BMW competitors, but with Audi aesthetics. My dream brand also wouldnāt exist in an era where anybody thought an SUV was a worthwhile compromise.
Real_Yhwach@reddit
Koenigsegg Jesko. GMA T.50 would also be nice.

Gordon Murray. No vehicle in history has taken so many measures to reduce weight and have exceptional ride quality while still handling like a supercar. It is an engineering masterpiece. Weighs less than a Miata (1,000lbs less than a GT3 for reference), has a manual, and a V12 that revs to 12,000.

More than just being one of the fastest road cars ever. I admire the work and effort it took to push it to and past that limitation. Jeep gladiator. I've wanted one since they were released but sadly I dont have my license yet and dont know if I ever will get my license. But the reason I wanted one is because when I was going through the driving lessons to get my license I couldnt decide if I wanted to get a jeep wrangler or a small pick up truck after I got my license. So when the jeep gladiator was first released It was the perfect combo of a wrangler and a pick up truck so ive been wanting one since. I also usually get one in any racing games I play.

Pretty much this. If I came into enough money to make an irresponsible car purchase Iād be visiting my local Porsche dealer. Sure there are brands with more impressive cars, but service for a Porsche is easily accessible (in my city). Same goes for Lexus.
Tall_Progress_5178@reddit
Yup! This is the answer right there! š Porsches are amazing cars that (most of them) work as daily cars and toys! If I could afford one, Iād be sitting in one right now!

There are two.
One within street laws, legal to drive on the road, which is the Ferrari F40. It's my favorite (road legal) car of them all. I love everything about it. Will probably never be able to afford one, but hey, it's a dream.
The second and unbeaten number one to me is the Ford Capri Zakspeed Turbo. This thing is just plain crazy. The sound of the engine screaming at over 10k revs, the turbo hissing every time you let off the gas.. It's just wild. Oh what I would give to drive this thing just one time.

I grew up in crappy 90s Fords, and that's what I like now. I lived and breathed German cars through my teenage years and early 20s but grew out of it.
Ford (as does GM) has something to scratch every itch for me. Mustang, pickups, Explorer ST. I've driven in PCA HPDEs for almost a decade so I'm used to seeing really expensive stuff, but I don't have an itch for unobtanium.
Assuming the upper band of realistic career growth and trajectory, I could probably afford a used GT3 in a decade, but I'd probably stick to cheaper stuff.
