I could make mine go down exactly 2 stairs.

I would love slinky guys to come hang while I was playing pool
AncientMatter1042@reddit
I had a slinky once. I straightened it.

HAPPY SLINKY DAY!!! 🎉
(August, 30th)
drawgs@reddit
I’m pretty sure this is cgi because there’s no way a slinky can do that stuff.
What does a slinky do? 1. Get tangled in itself 2. Get tangled in other toys and/or people 3. As the op states, go down two stairs and stop. But only when it is brand new 4. Get unrepairably bent when you let anyone else play with it.
Hope-I-Die-Today@reddit
Also don’t let people play with your stretch Armstrong…. They will rip his arm off… 🤦🏻‍♂️
Scary-Ad9646@reddit
How is it that not a single person in that pool hall is watching this?
Daped01@reddit
Seems fake to me, that could be why 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ok_Percentage5157@reddit
Those are fucking wizards.
Zelengro@reddit
Wait. Slinkies were meant to do more than stairs?
FLAMBIBULA@reddit
I thought they only got tangled up after one afternoon playing with it.🙀

all my slinkies:

Find a partner, play with both kinds of waves. With a proper metal one, put one end to your ear and drop enough so that it nearly hits the ground, hear a whole sci-fi battle. Just "juggling" it hand to hand could be practically meditative, soothing.
CoyPowers@reddit
If I find a partner, I'll no longer need a slinky.
brakeb@reddit
or, you know, could get out of the way and let people play pool...
chronicerection@reddit
We're probably looking at the difference between a $5 slinky and a $300 one.
myfrigginagates@reddit
The only trick I could perform was getting my Slinkie caught n my sister's hair.
ONROSREPUS@reddit
why do I feel this was on purpose?
Curiousone_78@reddit
This must be a different type of slinky. Mine was slow, metal and rusty.
PaulRuddEatsBabies@reddit
The Ogre inside me is yelling "NERDS!" But it's 2025 now, I'm better than that...
Deep breath.
...
honestrade@reddit
I bought one for my daughter but could only make it go down like 5 steps max lol.
_Geralt-of_Rivia@reddit
I've never had one last long enough to try anything but stairs. Then it became a knot of metal.
Ctendall@reddit
Somewhere there’s a pile of tangled slinkies
jikt@reddit
The Ocean.
Ctendall@reddit
I meant from just these two not everyone
Jacgaur@reddit
Is this the new Yo-yo crazy of today
dishwasher_mayhem@reddit
Mine tangled just watching this
ezhammer@reddit
This is how string theory was discovered.
tijuanagolds@reddit
How is nobody in the background even remotely curious of their slinky magic?
bikeonychus@reddit
That is the thing that makes me think that this is either AI, or these guys are known for being insufferable show offs or something.
DinoTheMok@reddit
Too busy watching Bruce Lee lay ping pong with nunchucks
sowokeIdontblink@reddit
These two look exactly how I'd imagine poolhall slinky trick masters to look.
Dazzling-Pace-7134@reddit
Never had a slinky. Always wanted one.

Remember your friend who could make them go down three? This is him now.
higglesworth@reddit
How in the hell do you decide you want to be a slinky wizard, and then how do you devote your life to the dark slinky arts???
woolsocksandsandals@reddit
And how the hell do three of them end up in the same place at the same time?
P1xelEnthusiast@reddit
I only see 2 people in the dark arts of slinky-ing?
woolsocksandsandals@reddit
Exactly
peloquindmidian@reddit
Maybe they're hired by one of the pool players to distract their opponents?
higglesworth@reddit
Right??? Gotta be a meetup group
FriedBreakfast@reddit
I had part of a slinky. I straightened it.
Scary-Ad9646@reddit
midnight-dour@reddit
I can totally do that, too. I just don’t feel like it.
CaptZombieHero@reddit
Two stairs? Checkout Mr Physics over here
MCA2142@reddit
We only got the steel slinky, and I don’t think you can do these tricks with a steel one.
My friend had a fancy rainbow iridescent one, but it was still made of steel.

Why is my initial reaction “I’m way too drunk for this shit,” especially not having had a drop in months?
sixfourtykilo@reddit
Could you guys, maybe move, I'm playing pool.
Lil_Brown_Bat@reddit
Right, like, no one in this pool hall cares at all.
Spartan04@reddit
I remember trying to find the right spot to place it on the stairs. Too far back and it would just stop after one or two and two far forward and it would eventually just fall down the stairs.
ferminriii@reddit
We only ever had the plastic one. It would skid on our wooden stairs. Sadly I never got to see it walk downstairs alone or in pairs.
simple_username25@reddit
Same with yo-yos.....I could just about manage to make one go up and down, once.
