ULPT request: Help me make a scammer’s life a little more unpleasant
Posted by chaoschunks@reddit | UnethicalLifeProTips | View on Reddit | 9 comments
I recently came very close to getting scammed out of a moderately large amount of money. I also discovered this person has scammed countless other people in the same way. In the process, I got the scammer’s name, address, phone number, and bank account info. The scammer also has a record in Florida and it was easy to figure out exactly who she is. With the amount of times she has gotten away with this scam, I know nothing will be done, and would like to find an unethical way to wreak havoc on the her life with the info that we have on her. Help me bring karma home to roost.

I’d ship her an Amazon package with someone else’s name as the receiver and a luxury item inside. Fill the hidden compartments of the item with bed bugs. She will keep the item even though it’s not addressed to her because she is a dishonest person. Only do this if she lives in a stand alone house and not a condo or apartment.

It would help if you explain what kind of scam she was trying to pull.
No need to be embarrassed about it or anything. Scammers suck. Pls explain so we can be as practical and creative as possible. I would love to help you get back at a scammer.

Not OP, but i was recently scammed by someone who claimed to own a company (actually not a legit company). Would love to hear your ideas on how to get back at scammers.

How unethical are we talking?
Hire a PI to follow her around and take Polaroid pictures of her for a day. Leaving her house, at the store, making dinner in her kitchen. Mail all pictures anonymously with a creepy message like "you smelled nice today"
She will have no idea it has something to do with someone she scammed and will be paranoid for years

I hear arson is nice this time of year

Try not to break the law in the process. Wait for an idea that is legal, but also gets the point across.
The Internet is a powerful thing. 🥸
