Is it worth purchasing the i5-14600K?

Hi
There's currently a good deal on the i5-14600K in stores in my country. I can get it for around $170, and i can also get a code for Battlefield 6 with my purchase. Since I wanted to buy BF anyway, which currently costs $80 on pre-order, that leaves me with a processor for around $90.
I currently have an i5-12400F, RTX 3060, Arctic LF III and a Gigabyte B660 DS3H motherboard.
I know that the performance increase won't be huge, but in the future I also plan to replace the GPU with something newer (probably after the release of GTA VI on PC) and then the differences will be even more noticeable.
My question mainly relates to the problems with the 14th generation of Intel processors. I know that they have been heavily patched, and I have also checked that my motherboard supports the latest BIOS version F30, which is described as the final version, fixing the bugs with the 14th generation. I have also read on the internet that it is worth undervolting this processor, but I have also found information that this is quite limited on B660 motherboards.
What do you think about this? Will I have any problems with this CPU?

I just put the trigger for the processor. Bro it came with the BF6 for free. I have actually a i3 12100 with the 3060. (Yes I know)

One more question. Will the motherboard, or more specifically the VRAM, be able to handle this processor? My friend says there may be problems, but I've read older posts and people seem to be pairing them together without any major issues.

If you're 100% sure you would buy BF6 anyway, and you can sell the existing CPU, that's gonna be a super cheap upgrade.
The game is 69.99€, so let's say you sell the existing CPU for only 50€, that means you've gotten the CPU upgrade for basically 29€.
That's probably worth it even if you'll still be GPU limited.

Damn.
To be honest, I didn't even thought about selling my old processor.
Thanks for the suggestion.

For 90$ it's a good deal. The degradation issues mostly affect the i9s, to a lesser extent the i7s and the i5s are even less likely to suffer from it. You can always limit the max voltage in the bios for additional peace of mind, since supposedly that's what's killing them.
Keep in mind that you probably won't see any perf improvement right now since in most games you'll be GPU bound, but it's good for the future if you get a better card.
