Got banned from 7 subs after one post. No appeals, no fairness. Just venting my disgust.

I’m done pretending there’s fairness here. I posted ONE picture on r/pics (an IDF soldier mocking a displaced Lebanese woman). It got traction, then it got removed with the dumb excuse of “superimposed text” (a tiny watermark).
Within hours I was PERMANENTLY BANNED not only from r/pics but from 6 other subs I didn’t even post in: r/funny, r/gifs, r/IAmA, r/Showerthoughts, r/Eyebleach, r/nottheonion.
There’s no way to appeal. No button. No admin form. The so-called Help Center doesn’t even have an option for reporting mod abuse. ModSupport deletes posts. It’s like a rigged game.
If mods don’t like you, they can nuke your presence across Reddit and you have zero recourse. And Reddit is fine with that.
It’s disgusting. The whole thing feels rotten. That’s all.
ClownEmoji-U1F921@reddit
Hamas shill, gtfo.
IlIIllIIIlllIlIlI@reddit
Your reply to mine got removed, but i read it first anyways
ll take the bait, I guess.
You do know conflict predates Hamas existence, right?
You do know that before Isreal was a state, some men went into the area and killed people who wouldn't leave their homes including children. There were rapes and murders. This was in the 40s, done by Jews to Palestinians who refused to leave their homes.
Hamas is a terrorist organization that has taken control of the government and will not hold free elections. 80% of those living in Gaza are too young to have voted them into power to begin with.
I know you're either a troll or a paid shill, but on the off chance you're just misguided and not informed, please just read some history.
The world is nuanced. The Jews were persecuted for centuries. And yet, a group of them still decided to cast their own stones and murder women and children to gain control of the area that is now Isreal. Some people decided to throw stones back. And now we're decades into a shit slinging contest.
You really dont get to say hamas started a war and wants to play victim. IDF were killing unarmed civilians before hamas existed
ClownEmoji-U1F921@reddit
Criticize Hamas and comment gets removed, nice mods. You do realize there's a billion+ unpaid shills that will happily spread or amplify anything that makes Israel look bad? The Quoran itself shits on Jews. You think muslims of the world will give them benefit of the doubt? Israel is losing the info war because they're outnumbered 100+ to 1. They'd run out of money trying to hire enough paid shills to have an effect. Heck, I bet Iran could buy more paid shills than Israel, but there's not even a need for it.
Who made Israel a state? The British and UN. Go blame them for its existence. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Partition_Plan_for_Palestine As a result, civil war broke out which Israel won. So it gets to be a state. Of course civilians got killed during a civil war. Civil wars are messy. You pretend like only Jews did the killing, like the Arabs fought with hugs and kisses:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killings_and_massacres_during_the_1948_Palestine_war#List
Only reason Jews had a 'higher overall score' is because they were winning the civil war. If they were losing it, we would see the reverse.
Anyway, since that time Gazas population has been steadily increasing from 250k in 1950 to around 2 million today. Yet they can't get over the loss and keep starting new conflicts. Sure Hamas launched the massacre on October 7 but not without local support. You can even see the locals cheering in some of the October 7 videos. They control not just the government but they also dictate the cultural aspects of Gaza. They control the schools, the educational content, the info space. You can find videos online of little kids cosplaying as Hamas fighters killing Jews in a school play type of thing.. You can bet that all their fighters aren't 18+ of age, with plenty of teens involved. It's safe to say some significant percentage of the population actively support them and their actions due to these brainwashing efforts. Israel would have to somehow 'deprogram' the population if they want to win this long term.
IlIIllIIIlllIlIlI@reddit
I scrolled to see if you claimed hamas started this war again. I didn't read anything else you had to say.
You did, and again, Isreal was killing and raping unarmed civilians before hamas existed.
You keep accusing other of being shills, but I'm realizing you aren't here for a legitimate discussion either. You have an ideal you want to push and you will ignore anything anyone says. So I will ignore what you've said.
IlIIllIIIlllIlIlI@reddit
I hate this mentality. We can simultaneously be anti IDF and anti Hamas.
ClownEmoji-U1F921@reddit
You seem to support that yes. You just described the October 7 massacre by Hamas. Shot children, raped women etc. I saw the videos, don't try the whitewash them.
hazza2hot@reddit

qwerty30013@reddit
But did YOU condemn Hamas?
TraumaJeans@reddit
I've been banned for much more innocent posts
Mammoth-Cut7088@reddit
Almost word for word what I said on original account.
"The Democrats will lose again because they keep labeling moderates Nazi Bigots (our biggest voting base) for having a simple popular opinion like not wanting biological males to compete with women in certain competitive sports. People who are not hateful bigoted progressives but are just using pure logic. Watch my account will be banned for just explaining this."
a day later reddit banned for hate and harassment. Never said one word hateful. So now I just make alt accounts and actually tell these idiots how I really feel about them making fun of dead kids in the Texas flood, wanting people's life ruined or wishing death upon people. This week it's just for saying the word Genes in a commercial.
Vance is going to win next election and it will partly be because of them.
firebreathingbunny@reddit
To be fair he also has good genes.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
Yeah those dementia genes he got from Fred Sr. are awesome.
firebreathingbunny@reddit
That's not how that works.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
If you have a parent or first-degree relative with early-onset Alzheimer's, you have a 50% chance of inheriting the gene and developing the disease.
Having a family history of late-onset Alzheimer's increases your risk, but it does not guarantee you will develop it.
The biggest risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer's is age.
fuckthisplatform-@reddit
Theyd win the election because the average American is a dumbass. Look how Trump is treating the Jeffery Epstein case, the fact his administration is constantly lying about it and yet he still has supporters
Mammoth-Cut7088@reddit
Nah the fact is you idiots only care about Trump and Trump alone. It's 100% fact. Or else their would be thousands of posts calling for everyone on the list. Reddit is portraying the exact opposite. Even when a picture of Clinton is posted you idiots thinks it's some type of diversion and or you falsely claim to care for a second then go right back to just Trump. And you more than likely think I'm a Trump supporter.
fuckthisplatform-@reddit
Yeah because Trump's administration said that theyd leak the files but didnt. Remember when Pam Bondi said that she had the files on her desk? Where are they now? How about the Trump Admin constantly lying about the Epstein case? Like how they lied about how many cctv camera's were in Epsteins prison, or how theyd release unedited cctv footage but instead cut 3 minutes out.
Mammoth-Cut7088@reddit
See look at you. Trump Trump Trump.
fuckthisplatform-@reddit
Got a counter argument? So you are a dumbass trump supporter🤣
Mammoth-Cut7088@reddit
you are a dumb little bitch

Mammoth-Cut7088@reddit
I want every name on the list.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
Nope. I don't care who is on the list. They should all face consequences for their actions.
Trump is pro crime as long as it's his criminals. Gouge a cop's eye out? That's OK as long as you did it to help him steal an election.
I'm shooting off fireworks when that pedophile rapist criminal dies.
reaper527@reddit
in /r/miamidolphins, one of their mods made a thread asking if they should ban twitter.
the mod then proceeded to permaban anyone who said no.

MintTrappe@reddit
Oh yeah, all the snark subs, and places like FauxMoui or Saltierthankrait banned me after one or two comments that were neutral or rationally pushing back against echo-chamber. Got banned from the snake ID sub because I mentioned the coral snake rhyme which apparently is a cardinal sin because it's a misnomer.
ecafyelims@reddit
It's likely one mod who banned you from all of their major communities for this one post in r/pics. You can report that mod, if you feel the bans were targeting you personally, and an admin might review your case:
https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=19300233728916
SpicyPeanutSauce@reddit
might being a strong word there. Reddit loves their ~~slave labor~~ mods and will only take action if the mod does something certifiably unhinged.
Nabootle@reddit
“Slave labor”? Give me a fucking break!!!
ecafyelims@reddit
True, the admins are /very/ unlikely to punish the mod. However, there is a decent chance that the admins force the mod to unban OP and issue a warning about it.
Long ago, it used to be explicitly against the mod rules to ban an individual for participating in other communities. Now, it's not an official rule, but the practice is still frowned upon.
So, there's a chance OP could be unbanned.
reaper527@reddit
i mean, these large subs have been using bots to auto-ban users for posting in subs that the team disapproves of for years. they'll even put in the ban message that it was automated and it's for posting in a blacklisted sub and that they'll supposedly reverse it if you delete all your posts there and apologize.
the mod teams aren't worried about the admins doing something about these kinds of shitty practices.
ecafyelims@reddit
Well, reddit gets free labor from the mods. Also, Reddit can't take over moderating the subs themselves because it complicates the laws that they're bound under. If the sub is moderated by Reddit employees (admins), then Reddit becomes liable for the content, or something like that. I'm not a lawyer. Anyway, they need unpaid mods.
So, Reddit can't be too strict on mods, or they'll lose the free labor, or (worse) be forced to recognize mods as unpaid employees.
And mods have to pick and choose their battles, too. It's very frustrating to mod large subs. Some mods do it because they enjoy contributing, some do it for the power and significance, some do it for an agenda, and some have been doing it so long that they don't even know why they're doing it, anymore.
It's actually a bit of a power struggle behind the curtains, and it's bubbled up a few times, like when the mods put their subs on NSFW mode or Private the subs in protest of Reddit's API billing changes some years back. Doing this would cost Reddit money, since they can't advertise on NSFW or private subs. Reddit actually threatened to take the subs away from the mods and find new mods. Most of the mods backed down. That rule was then added to the Mod code of conduct.
There's active talk about Reddit banning supermods who mod over many subs. This isn't the first time they've gone down that path, and it's never actually been enforced. The "supermods" are arguably the largest contributors in terms of active moderation, Reddit wide. They put in the work, and Reddit doesn't want to poke that sleeping giant.
Anyway, I digress. If OP reports it, there's a chance that they'll get unbanned, which is one more chance than if they do not report it.
topselection@reddit
According to US federal laws, operators of forums, message boards, social media, etc. are not held liable for what users say. Internet social media is treated like other social media like phones, telegrams and such.
Reddit is like Tripod or Geocities for forums. Anybody can make their own sub. It's not that Reddit can't take over subs, it's that it would be weird. It'd be like if YouTube took over Mr. Beast's channel and started producing his content with Ted in accounting assuming the role of Mr. Beast.
Silly-Cell7894@reddit
Which is fucked that they're dodging responsibility for the proliferation of hate on this website. this website plays an active role in many countries hate movements and has allowed them to gain signficant ground and they do nothing.
Time193@reddit
Yeah, I've been banned from a bunch of servers for post in "controversial" subs reddit really is just an echo chamber of ideas
SolenoidsOverGears@reddit
All my bans are from participating in other communities. I've muted the entire front page of Reddit because I can't engage with it. Still frowned upon? I got banned by bot!
frankstaturtle@reddit
Can we not compare unforced moderation of Reddit threats to slave labor. I know you’re being hyperbolic, but mods are literal volunteers who can quit at any moment with zero repercussions. I hate when people compare serious human rights violations to something like this.
apirateship@reddit
Lmao
eaglebtc@reddit
They're currently discussing this very problem on the /r/ModSupport forum right now. Reddit is about to enact a plan that will help curb power mods like this.
QING-CHARLES@reddit
It won't work. It only punishes the good guys.
Silly-Cell7894@reddit
/r/pics is a default sub meaning admin chose these mods, it's very rare and unlikely admin over turns their actions
ecafyelims@reddit
As someone who used to moderate over a default sub, no, the admins did not pic the mods of /r/pics nor the other default subs (when there used to be such a thing). They don't do that and intentionally avoid it.
Reddit mostly leaves it up to the mods to figure out their own people, with the exception being when they step in to sort out problems, like removing inactive lead mods, which happens from time to time.
If you watch these communities, most of them have applications up for people to apply for being a mod. It's in constant cycle because the job is mostly thankless and very frustrating. Reddit gives mods nothing for their work -- they aren't even allowed to give anything because that risks the "unpaid mod" legal status I pointed out previously.
Reddit even goes as far to forbid mods from making money by moderating (ie accepting advertisers, bribes, etc).
The mods constantly beg reddit for better moderating tools, and reddit constantly promises that they'll get the tools any day now. It's been like that for as long as there have been moderators.
So, mods quit all the time, and the subs are always looking for new ~~cannon fodder~~ volunteers. You typically just have to have a good history so they know you're not just a troll or doing to cause problems. Some experience moderating is helpful as well.
Silly-Cell7894@reddit
Chose probably wasn't the right word, but approved is more apt.
But since the API mess admin have had a much tighter grip on who moderates default subs and they removed a bunch who were going to do the black out etc.
upfastcurier@reddit
They just remove problematic mods. There is no review or approval from Reddit for new mods. All they do is get rid of mods who don't tow the line; they never get involved in the replacement. As long as the replacement does what they want they don't care who it is or what they else do.
ecafyelims@reddit
Totally true.
It all comes back to the $$. The karma must flow!
Loggerdon@reddit
A year ago I was banned from 14 subs at once for an accurate comment on Chinese demographics.
philbar@reddit
I was surprised to learn that moderators can ban people from multiple subreddits at once.
For example, I was banned from r/palestine after asking why the mother of a severely starved child in a photo did not appear to be starving herself. Along with that ban, I was also banned from r/documentaries by the same moderator.
It turns out this is not unusual. A small group of moderators control many large subreddits and use their power broadly. This report goes into more detail: https://www.piratewires.com/p/the-terrorist-propaganda-to-reddit-pipeline
Mammoth-Cut7088@reddit
It's useless. There is a reason why Reddit admins banned r/watchpeopledie but the so-called progressive, ant-racist bastion of the internet allows thousands of videos of our enemies being blown up in HD to posted. There is a thread that has been archiving all of the Russian battlefield suicides. Guess what if you are a muslim, member of the Junta or russian conscript it's alright to upvote and cheer in the comments. They also openly say mass shootings (which occur with way more frequency) in gang areas don't count because it's gang related. They think hispanic border guards are the SS. And last but not least they support a party who railroaded a real progressive with the same gusto as a brown shirt wearing nazi.
This site is a propagandist shithole now.
ecafyelims@reddit
Truth be told, it's the reason Reddit does anything. It's done for the money and the things that correlate with money, such as advertiser sentiment, positive/negative publicity, and brand image.
Long ago, Reddit allowed any sub, as long as they were within US laws. Reddit claimed to be a bastion of free speech.
There was a very popular sub that served up borderline CP. I think it was called jailbait or something like that. Just short of breaking the law, they had clothed and "non-sexualized" images of young girls, but the implication was there for why these images were posted. Fucking gross, and Reddit allowed it because the law was being followed.
That sub lasted for a very long time, until it was called out by CNN's Anderson Cooper. This brought a ton of negative publicity for Reddit. That's when JailBait was removed. It was the first ever sub that was removed without breaking US laws.
Reddit cheered. It was a vile subreddit.
However, with that, Reddit also changed. It was no longer a hard line at "law is law." Now, the line was just a bit blurry.
Soon after, racist subs were removed. Reddit cheered again, but not as loudly. Reddit removed their creed to support 'free speech,' and claimed it was never about free speech (despite online recorded video interviews to the contrary).
Then the other hate-filled subs were removed. Then non-consensual porn subs. Then overtly gross subs, etc.
Long story short, if you want a sub removed, get it tied back to negative publicity/money. Get it on TV or something. That'll likely do it. Reddit will remove the sub and then justify it with non-monetary logic in a public post.
tl;dr: If you can't stop the cannon, then just change where it's pointed.
smp501@reddit
Lol as if the admins aren’t also owned by the IDF.
crude_oil@reddit
You're just spamming propaganda. Go find a better hobby.
reaper527@reddit
while you're not wrong, it's also not acceptable to permaban him across 7 subs (including ones he didn't post it to).
much like the powermods vs reddit admins in 2023 over the api changes, this is a case of both sides being in the wrong.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
Well, as a mod myself, I have banned people across multiple subs I run. But that was because they were obvious spammers. I used to just ban them from the sub where they violated the rule but soon found that I'd have to ban them from each sub, so now I nuke them from all subs.
But you have to be an obvious spammer for me to do that.
crude_oil@reddit
yes, banning people you disagree with is really childish but just reading this guy's titles from his post history makes him look insufferable .
I do think that if Reddit only allowed one person to mod one or maybe two subs top it will greatly improve the site.
reaper527@reddit
that's actually what they said they intend to do. as expected, the normal people love it and the people who mode 250+ subs are up in arms.
dream-smasher@reddit
Posting one picture, once, in one sub does not make it "spamming".
crude_oil@reddit
You also seem to only post anti Israel stuff. What exactly is your connection to the conflict?
Are you a Palestinian or an Arab? a western leftist?
mohab_saeed@reddit (OP)
I am an Arab who hates Israeli occupation and their crimes. I am posting these crimes everywhere. I see it suitable to be seen because I think human lives matter. Thank you.
crude_oil@reddit
He even posted this same whiny post in like ten subreddits.
reaper527@reddit
i mean, have you looked at his post history?
napierwit@reddit
I got banned from r/soccer for "Rape Apologism" for a comment that had nothing to do with rape. When I contacted the mods with the message I posted, and a polite explanation saying that there should be some sort of escalating policy instead of going for an outright ban, I was muted for 28 days for "harassment"
I just laughed. Some mods are power hungry idiots. The saying that if you want to test someone's character give them power is so true. I get the impression that many people who want to be mods are pathetic losers in the real world who revel in the "power" of being a mod to stroke their ego.
Fuck them. Reddit isn't the real world.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
I have found that there are far too many people who can't admit making a simple mistake. And a lot of them become mods.
ohbyerly@reddit
This tracks since r/pics is one of the easiest subs to get permabanned from. Their mods are notoriously fragile.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
Was that the case before the mod purge or just after?
Erens-Basement@reddit
This is the reason why admins are limiting the amount of large communities mods can control, and they're getting pissy about it.
Luckily investors control the direction of Reddit now, and after the whole blackout shitshow moderators' days are numbered.
RipeBanana4475@reddit
That's also a bad thing. Shareholders always lead to a place or service getting shittier or trying to nickle and dime you at every turn. Reddit is going to get worse and worse until we get sick of it and leave.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
Yep, that's enshittification. It's happening everywhere.
Erens-Basement@reddit
Reddit has been getting enshittified before their IPO. Remember Ellen Pao? That was over 10 years ago.
MootEndymion752@reddit
After their IPO it got way worse.
reaper527@reddit
so... basically how reddit has been for a long time already?
qwerty30013@reddit
Investors taking control always ends well
vezwyx@reddit
Oh good, the investors are taking control, a famously fair and unbiased group of individuals with no political motivations whatsoever
ImUrFrand@reddit
modsupport is for mods, not peons like us.
a lot of these mods in larger communities "hang out" in discord together, some are even mods across multiple communities.
there's definitely a censorship program going on too... certain subjects, as you have found are stamped out quickly...
IpppyCaccy@reddit
You mean like mention of a particular Italian plumber? I got some reddit warnings for merely upvoting comments. Yep, just for upvoting.
Now I tend to upvote any comment or post that has been deleted.
Pamasich@reddit
That's probably a bot or script that's meant to relieve the burden on moderators by banning bad actors on every subreddit the bot is used on when one of them bans you. Iirc there do exist bots or scripts like that.
This is false technically, though I don't know how effective it actually is.
The messages you got clearly say you can appeal by replying to the message, on every sub you got banned on.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
I was banned and muted from a sub so I couldn't appeal. I thought, no big deal, just a misunderstanding let me talk to a mod...nope.
TiltedWit@reddit
As a mod, I do my best to not make this true on the subs I contribute to in that way, but having seen what goes on in those bigger subs, individuals don't matter, and nobody has time or interest to give a shit most of the time.
Appeals processes don't work because individuals can't matter when subs get to a certain volume - and those banned are always really mad about it because of course *it matters to you*, main character feelings, etc. It's massively kafka-esque to even try to engage with Reddit or the mod teams in those situations.
If it makes you feel any better (worse?) this is a problem on any platform of size, at some point it becomes a numbers game.
hazza2hot@reddit
Do you seriously believe they will ever respond?
Pamasich@reddit
This applies to any appeals process, it doesn't change that there is one and OP hasn't shown proof they tried to use it.
RelevanceReverence@reddit
Nah, I've been in the same situation. Nothing. It's like they've blocked your account as well as banned you. No response.
Delicious_Ease2595@reddit
Even if you send message they don't reply
GiganticCrow@reddit
Something definitely changed after the mod protests with whoever took over from those that left.
Definitely used to be plenty of pissy mods before, and plenty people moaning about being banned from subs when it turned out they actually did something super gross. But I've not seen the extreme level of big, mainstream subs that permaban for the slightest, or no actual rule breaking at all.
I've been (too) active on reddit for like 15 years now as part of the digg refugee wave, and it's only been in the last couple of years I've started getting banned from big subs for no clear reason, that I used to be really active on. Worldnews has become particularly notorious for permabans without breaking rules.
It seems the many subs got taken over by groups who are actively organised in pushing an agenda, when before we'd just get the odd power tripping weirdo.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
I'll second that. It's an AIPAC run sub. You can't criticize Israel, the IDF or the Likud without ricking a permaban. I think I was banned for merely mentioning that the sub was heavily AIPAC biased.
Eridain@reddit
i got banned from the comics sub for saying something along the lines of "treat people like people and not just stereotypes" on a post that was one of those "all men do this/are like this" type of things. Got banned for sexism because i was "lying to attack a woman making a valid point"
IpppyCaccy@reddit
I got banned from politics once for saying Caitlin Jenner is an attention whore. They said it was "violence against women". The mod would not concede that whore in "attention whore" is not gender based and does not mean the same thing as "whore".
Fucking bizarre.
blindsavior@reddit
lmao the Pizzacake debacle, huh?
ContemplatingFolly@reddit
Damn, that's depressing.
IpppyCaccy@reddit
I got banned from r/Worldnews for "trolling" and they would not point to the comment that caused the ban. I'm not into trolling so I was curious what they considered trolling; no comment from the mods and I've asked several times now.
The only thing I can think of was pointing out that the sub is extremely aligned with AIPAC.

this is part of why reddit is capping how many large subs someone can mod, trying to break up this cartel that runs all those places and putting an end to the collusion of them doing stuff like this.
at the end of the day, right now there is no viable alternative to reddit. all you can do is hope that when the digg re-launch goes live it's better than reddit is. (that being said, while i trust kevin rose, i don't trust alexis ohanian and he might try to bring the same nonsense to digg)

didntgettheruns@reddit
I feel like all that probably did was give power mods more Alts.
reaper527@reddit
probably. reddit absolutely would know (they can ban alts within minutes when they sitewide ban someone and they make/log into a different account), the question is if they actually care or if this is just one of those things that they don't care enough to enforce. (and the answer is "probably not")
QING-CHARLES@reddit
I know some of the assholes modding these subs. They are using residential proxies for each account to keep the IPs separate.
reaper527@reddit
if reddit cared, they should be able to detect this by generating hardware id's (kind of like how the "do you want us to trust this device" stuff for not prompting for 2fa on specific devices works, which is NOT cookie based)
Time193@reddit
I remember a while ago some mods banned the creator of a game from his own sub and hostile took over. They used alts to do it

Epstien is in the Trump philes.
wowlock_taylan@reddit
And they might ban your automatically SITEWIDE like they did to me...thankfully I called them out on their bs and got the ban reversed but it is clear the bans are REALLY getting ridiculous.
Savings_Art5944@reddit
r/comics needs to be on your list.
DiscipleOfYeshua@reddit
As an Israeli, like most Israelis, I’m disgusted too. Give me one or two subs and I will post. Preferably, crop out the text or anything else that they wrote that makes this unacceptable as a submission, would you please?
PentaOwl@reddit
To be fair half the subs were not suitable for the content.
Silly-Cell7894@reddit
They only posted it in one
redditeur404@reddit
Unlike this post.
true_jester@reddit
That is one ugly bride.
Stunning_Repair_7483@reddit
Reddit has become shit because mods do this all the time. I got a post deleted about a question about furniture that I posted on a furniture sub. Makes no sense.
https://www.reddit.com/r/furniture/s/oqGwAJ0VYB
And this has happened many times on other subs where I'm not violating rules and posting questions related to the subs. The mods are cancer
hazza2hot@reddit
I once had my post removed from a science sub because i didn't put a question mark at the end of my question. fuck r/askscience.
Rivetingly@reddit
I got banned once for asking "Are the blacks blacker?" when discussing a new TV technology.
firebreathingbunny@reddit
Good thing you didn't ask in Spanish.
Coldshalamov@reddit
The Reddit bans have gotten out of control.
My posts get constantly taken down, I work on a blockchain startup (solo project, just me, working for free, not selling anything and wanting to talk about it) and I’ve been banned from like 4 subs for “self promotion” i.e. “hey guys this is what I’ve been working on I’d love some thoughts”; “AI generated content, as in I asked ChatGPT “I could really use some help with this, summarize ALL THE WORK WE’VE BEEN DOING CONSTANTLY FOR 6 MONTHS ALL DAY LONG” and crafting it to try to be precise and non-janky looking so it won’t come off as some single-man baby’s first blockchain (which it is but I’m not trying to scam anybody) for 3 days before posting it and whoops, it’s got an em dash in it, permabanned from ever speaking to an eth developer again; I’ve been banned for posting in blockchainstartups for posting about how lame it is that I always get banned or removed when I try to post anything that’s not “farts, lol”, the reason for that was “ref links” even though there was none.
You’re right, it’s totally bullshit. Between the elitist “nuh-uh!” brigade and the autoban AI gestapo this place has become anathema to genuine expression and novelty, and devolved into a toxic echo chamber of lameness.

I got banned for saying that privatization is not always a bad thing lol
malcarada@reddit
The permanent ban is wrong but removing your post is not, I looked at r/pics and effectively they do not allow any post like yours with superimposed text, they are consistent enforcing this rule with everybody not just you, if they allow you then others will have a right to say that they want to be treated the same too, but a warning seems more appropriate.
firebreathingbunny@reddit
What is this gay shit
Outrageous-Egg-2534@reddit
I got banned from a couple of, admittedly pretty full of loopy pricks, like UFO, Unexplained etc… where I and a couple others users spend time logically and rationally explaining ‘phenomena’ that people there post. Got banned because I asked the mods if there was anything they could do to get help for some poor bugger who was obviously off his meds and having psychotic episodes stating things like ‘the aliens are using their infrared eyes on me. I can’t sleep’ or posting videos clearly of the moon and saying it was ‘them’ coming for him and he Is wife and he’d locked her in the basement. No help, no thanks, no warning, no update and no response when I appealed the ban.
Baltazar_wants_you@reddit
Banned banned banned
badmother@reddit
I've been on here for over 14 years. In the last year I've had 2 site wide bans. I've never intentionally offended anyone - that's not my style, but the mods live in another world sometimes.
I heard a saying once. Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience. Life's not fair. Never pretend it is.
Grisemine@reddit
You have been permanently banned from r.redditalternatives.
:s
chesterriley@reddit
I just created this. Post away. Anyone wanting to help mod this message me.

I've been banned from over ten subreddits for just having posted in r/Israel
Welcome to the internet, I guess?
oioioioioioiioo@reddit
Sadly that's Reddit for ya, they're connected subs which share a common bot that autobans people.
btaf45@reddit
lemmy.world banned me sitewide for agreeing with a mainstream Democrat on a political issue in their politics group

welcome to reddit 😹👌

I joined r/GotBannedForThat because of some dumbass, butthurt mod from a stupid tv show sub! Also from a sub where the mod was a racist and acting accordingly.
bokan@reddit
This is a very normal reddit experience. We should be creating a true competitor. The whole thing IS rotten.
Unusual_Public_9122@reddit
Reddit is really broken. Let's switch. Posting on this sub is failure to adapt.
The_best_is_yet@reddit
No, it’s pointing out awareness while we are looking for ways to adapt.
Unusual_Public_9122@reddit
Looking for ways to adapt within Reddit you mean? It's all a trap

reddit def has a lot of issues in terms of how moderation works. also in terms of circle jerkiness of subreddits. (outside the standard thought process in that subreddit and prepare for massive downvotes or banning)
need to revisit how I use social media.

/r/pics let's people spread actual nazi propaganda and bans you for pointing it out.
Some power users have way too much influence on this shit hole

A zio mod apparently
chrisjd@reddit
Yeah Zionists control all the largest subreddits
ProbablyMHA@reddit
What's in the "your post" link in the modmails?
ContemplatingFolly@reddit
Damn. This makes me want to repost it and just nuke my Reddit account accordingly.
Hell of a picture.
Nice that it got a lot of attention before they reacted.
Cool_Cat_Punk@reddit
I just got done with a three day ban from all of Reddit for a reply to a post someone else made. The OP post and my comment was from months ago.
This was on a Christian thread. I don't even use foul language! The whole thing is rather fishy to me. Why wait two months to ban me? I didn't even make the post and there was nothing unusual about my reply from a Christian perspective.
It hurt my feelings and ruined a thread I was having a conversation on about a book.
I really didn't know a bot could override a Mod(there's zero change a Christian Mod would take offense). Or perhaps it was a non-Christian who got offended and reported me. This is odd as well because why just me? Just ban the entire group. I mean I could go around Reddit groups I'm not a member of and report stuff that offends me all day every day.
I don't get the system here at all. Can't wait for Digg to go live. Sorry for the rant.
Delicious_Ease2595@reddit
Anything about them can get you ban, this is the sad reality of Reddit
CNBDouche@reddit
You're a single purpose account spamming political shit into every community you can. Your post history reads as at the least schizophrenic or at worst a state actor or terrorist.
If I modded anywhere, I'd pre-emptively ban you to make sure you don't start stirring up shit there too.
You fucked around, now you find out.
Scar3cr0w_@reddit
I mean, there’s also a world where the moderators are just fed up with their subs being turned into angry back and forth convos about Ukraine/gaza. I hear what you are saying… but as soon as a photo like that goes live the mods know they are in for a night of hardcore moderating.
Don’t get me wrong, the plight of the Palestinians is something I am also appalled by. But I come to reddit to escape the real world for a bit.
HamedAliKhan@reddit
They ban anything that goes against their narrative, so much for open minded reasonable civilized people...
torac@reddit
I’m questioning whether you posted them to raise awareness, or whether you intentionally posted them to get banned and claim prosecution.
Posting genocide footage to eyebleach? Really!?
Tystros@reddit
you need to work on your reading comprehension skills
torac@reddit
Less reading comprehension, and not even seeing that there is text below the post to begin with due to the garbage interface that hides the text if I minimize the images. Will correct my post.
mohab_saeed@reddit (OP)
thank you for taking another look
Tystros@reddit
ah, fair
PersonalityUpper2388@reddit
Reddit is not free speech. In my opinion, you're a humorless a*h, but that doesn't mean I want to see your opinion suppressed. On the contrary, everyone should do as they please.
But Reddit is ruled by moderators with particularly short d*cks. Not here, of course, as far as I can tell.
I hope my comment is understood correctly.
TheColossussyOfClout@reddit
I posted something r slash funny that was genuinly funmy. It was a screenshot for proof I had purchased winrar and the CD they sent me. It got over 2000 likes. And then randomly some fukasz mod literally decided it wasnt funny and removed it. No free speech here. The entire internet would be better without this godforsaken site. And a certain group of people that tend to run the majority of this site as a whole.

You posted wrongthink. If you don't treat the Zionist overlords like the superior master race(god's chosen people) and overlook all their inhumane misdeeds you're and antisemite and need your echochamber privileges revoked.
