660 FTW -> 1660 Ti -> ??? (choose my next 6 year GPU)

i enjoy taking a long time between GPU purchases.
alas, i now have a 1440p monitor and am lucky to get 60FPS at all low settings in KCD2, so it's time to upgrade. what should i get? a 5060 ti 16gb? 9060 XT 16GB? b580? 5070 might be stretching my budget too far, and maybe it would be stupid to buy at 12gb when the super might offer 18gb soon?
currently running a 12600kf.

What's your budget?

if it were my world, I'd spend sub-$300 like i did the last two times, but i think those times are over, sadly. i could stretch up to the $400-range of the 5060 ti 16gb, but it starts to feel obscene crossing over the $500 point for the 5070. the b580 would be the most appealing price but also I'd feel dumb spending hundreds upgrading to a card that might still struggle with KCD2 1440p high.

9060xt 16gb is the best you’ll get brand new for $400. use DDU to uninstall nvidia drivers before installing AMD drivers if you go with this.
9060xt is a solid, capable card for both 1080p and 1440p, however it will not do “high-fps” at 1440p in some newer titles.

I ended up getting the 5060ti 16gb because I was able to snag it for $389 from MSI :)

awesome deal imo. i’m looking to get one for another build as well. good find!

I second the 9060XT for 1440p gaming on your budget.

I think the 9060xt 16gb has the value proposition here. If you want nvidia and are willing to spend extra for a minor performance difference, you can get the 5060ti 16gb.
