I don't think we will see any super exciting enthusiast cars. Maybe I will be wrong though. Seems like a lot of the more regular SUV releases. I assume the IX3 will be shown off, which is cool, but how many enthusiasts car about an electric X3

BMW have been doing tooling production of iX3 for a few a little while now. Niggles of producing an all new platform at a new production line in Hungary. Given the serial production for release to dealers is in Nov I’d say it’s a safe bet it’ll be shown at the event or soon after. Shame the regular X3 got nerfed staying on the old platform to highlight this EV.

That makes sense. Im more excited for the Japan Mobility Show(Tokyo Motor Show). Might be some pretty cool announcements, but car shows just arent as exciting as they used to be, you don't really get huge announcements anymore. Manufacturers would rather do their own announcements.

I hope it will improve because their ICE design language lately is severly lacking. They lost that german sharpness and understated look. Cars look cost cut to the brim. New Tiguan looks like a low effort low cost chinese blob :/

Audi will show their version of the electric Boxster/Cayman. Mercedes will probably show their electric AMG GT 4 door again. It's in Munich so BMW can't be shown up in their own house. Porsche...they'll announce another limited 911 and lament some more on their Chinese woes

If VW does show the Boxster/cayman it won’t be a production car, they just pushed back the platform to 2027+ First we will see the new gas Macan , and EV cayenne

Yeah I know the production model keeps getting further and further delayed (at this point BMW might even beat them with something of their own), but I was referring to what the Audi CEO [said](https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a65511254/audi-new-ev-sports-car-sits-between-tt-and-r8-in-september-ceo-says/): > Audi CEO Gernot Döllner recently told Germany's Bild that Audi plans to introduce such a car around the IAA Mobility show in Munich this September. 5 bucks says that Audi may show the electric car but even if they won't announce it, it'll be delayed a couple of months to years due to software issues Given the current state of their software it's a surprise they haven't stopped selling the ones they have released, they have ridiculous lemon law rates

Super exciting, sure. It'll be a bunch of unobtanium hypercars, some new crossovers, and maybe one or two cars I could possibly get excited about that'll end up being canned due to lacklustre sales.

Frankfurt 🥲 I want it back here. Visited every show but the last one was really empty in comparison to the older ones. Munich isn't even a pure car show, it's more a mobility show from what I've seen from the last one.

I've never been there but, back in the day, I loved these things and waited for those months magazines where I could read about all the news and crazy prototipes. Those magazines would be filled with content until the end of the year, first with the great reveals at the shows, the next month issue they highlighted some of the most cool concepts, then some cars revealed started to hit the road... I specifically remember being looking forward so much for Frankfurt 2001 but something happened across the pond and suddenly that wasn't anymore.

That’s riiiight, the Clio VI is just around the corner. I hope they ditch the clear white taillights that are on the mk.V phase 2, those are hedious, making the car look a cheap 2000s tuner car. Hoping the dCi is still making another round.
