Hit and miss. Like someone said, there are episodes, especially the early seasons, that are upscaled. Some episodes have channel logos at the bottom. But overall for the price I got it, the fact that it left Hulu and the YouTube Channel blocks the live stream in the US...it was worth it.
It's not like I need 4K HD quality episodes of The Mythbusters :)
I like the idea of dvd but honestly Mythbusters is half the reason I pay for Discovery+. I get all the seasons and the extra stuff like the search episodes.
I bought a similar set a few years ago, or maybe the exact same thing. I don't have any major complaints, some of the early episodes are a little lower resolution I think.
Forgive me if I’m too pessimistic. I don’t want too see people waste their money on a sham.
Though it does look fairly official, the lack of rear box (which usually contains product ID details) or manufacturing source raises some concerns for verifying the product. Or the over emphasis on Australian broadcasting services for a Region 1 DVD is unusual.
You know, you can find the entire series (aside from maybe a couple of the standalone specials) in 1080p if you know where to look. It takes up a lot of space, though; about 644gb in totality.
So the OG series March 2016. The reboot was after that to 2018. So does those have the reboot on it? If so it is absolutely fake or they owe me a few dollars. Like $7. And I want a copy.
I feel like they're missing some episodes, but haven't confirmed. Also there's definitely some duplicates and mislabeled episodes. Introduced my 6 and 7 year old kids and they're obsessed right now, it's amazing 😂😂
They're missing MOST of the episodes. And they keep re-uploading the same small batch of episodes, just labeled differently and with a different thumbnail. It's really disappointing.
No, they arent. Many, many are missing, many are mislabeled, and many are duplicates. It's nice to watch a few, but it is most certainly not ALL episodes. No where close.
There's a Mythbusters channel on Roku. They seem to play some of the same episodes over and over, with a few different ones scattered in. My family and I love it!

Boot leg. I have this copy. Also search eBay instead, I got mine for like $50.

How’s the quality, though. Own many of the original dvd sets. Standard def.

letting people know theres the 1080p 60fps version out in the wild of the internet
ascotsmann@reddit
Considering it was filmed in PAL then 1080i50 any 60fps version will be bootleg
Chicken-Nuggiesss@reddit
correct, it is AI upscaled and it looks amazing compared to my dvd's

Somebody needs to ask Discovery to make an official Mythbusters complete series for blu ray or 4k
DemiHollow@reddit
I have this set and sadly it’s bootleg. Some episodes are duplicates and even recorded from TV with the discovery logo.

Is this too good to be real?
Jordanblueman@reddit
Looking at the app, it’s very interesting, it’s got official looking packaging, but it has zero reviews

So Walmart website has gone the Amazon route with unchecked vendors? Good to know, though I almost never used them to begin with.
