Hi all, I booked a ticket from Bangalore to Langkawi via Kuala Lumpur, am I permitted to exit at Kuala Lumpur airport and not take the onward flight to Langkawi? The Bangalore–Kuala Lumpur–Langkawi option is working out cheaper than a direct Bengaluru–Kuala Lumpur ticket. I will be travelling only with cabin baggage and no checked-in luggage. Could someone confirm if this would pose any issues at immigration? Thank you for your time and guidance. Also in MDAC form - can I add KL hotel address or Langkawi hotel address. I look forward to your response. I have booked one way ticket with X airline and my return ticket is with Y airline. Both airlines are different. Best

Immigration wouldn't care or even ask or even know if you had a connecting flight to another location you decided to not take

In my mdac form can I add langkawi hotel address and then exit at KL. Would that be okay ?
Quirky_Assumption460@reddit
No. Put a KL address. Normally they wouldn't check, but if they do, it flags as trying to disappear and misuse the visa, which could result in deportation.
Also, are U indian nationality? This is very important because bias do exist in Malaysian immigration, and Indians coming in with travel visa and working instead is a common occurrence. So, there will be extra scrutiny.

The airline is obligated to get you to Langkawi, so if there’s a change or delay and they rebook you, they will not necessarily include KL.

I intentionally booked Blr-KL-langkawi coz it was cheaper but I want to exit at KL airport and do not want to take the second flight. Can I ? Will there be any issue in immigration or airline authorities ? :)

Did you read the comment above?
SaltyTruthteller@reddit
I did and it could be clearer. You could have started your post with, "I suggest you do not do that because....". Your comment is oblique and makes assumptions, rather than being clear and offering a suggestion. As such, your follow-up seems arrogant.
darkmatterhunter@reddit
I made no assumptions, my comment needs no adjustments and it’s clear. You’re the one who needs to improve your skills here as you keep referring to “you” for a completely different user.

Yeah, no idea why this person thinks we're the same user... Our usernames have nothing in common. Your post was very clear to me, which is why I redirected OP there, but the Salty dude seems... Very salty and not paying attention.

I'm not the person who wrote above, that was someone else. I don't have multiple usernames.

See wanderingdev's comment for guidance for this and other, future posts of yours.

Again, the original post wasn't mine, I'm not sure what you are talking about.... The original poster has a very different username than me....

if it's a one-way ticket, you might be ok.
If you booked a return ticket, the remaining segments would be cancelled.

You’ll be fine exiting the airport in Kuala Lumpur. You are going through passport control with everyone else in KL because KL to Bengaluru is a domestic flight.
wanderingdev@reddit
You can do this, but if your flight gets changed or they make you gate check your bag, you're hosed. so keep that in mind. the ticket won't be an issue at immigration. your return ticket will need to start in KL though. you can't skip the first leg or they cancel everything.
