NCT suing me in Texas.

Hi everyone, stopped paying on private student loans in 2019 out of necessity and I’ve finally been served a lawsuit by a firm representing NCT (there are three loans total, they originated from Bank One and Chase in 2004).

I know about the NCT missing paperwork issue and have responded to the lawsuits saying something along the lines of “I don’t believe the creditor can prove the loan’s origination paperwork and I request a trial as soon as possible.” Hopefully my loans were a part of those massive ones that paperwork went missing on. If anyone has been successful in Texas (or any other state) would you mind sharing any experiences?

Spoke to the court and was told any “trial” won’t be for 6mo - 1yr. so I have plenty of time to ready myself for any result.

I’m also here to entertain is a a worst case scenario. If they do sue and win a judgement, how can I get my paycheck after an inevitable bank account freeze? I know they can’t garnish wages in Texas for private student loans (lucky me I guess), but I do know they’re going to ruin my credit and force me to live like a troll to an extent. Has anyone here had the bank freeze and successfully navigated getting your paycheck from work? My company doesn’t offer a paper check option and I really like my job/don’t want to leave.

Fuck NCT and the predatory education finance system as a whole. Thanks so much for reading, and thanks for any help anyone might have.

Have a good one.
