Anyone know of any personal injury lawyers in Collin County?

I was in an accident this morning. I don’t want to give details, but the other driver was 100% at fault. I had to go to the hospital, I’m missing work because of my injury, and my car is completely gone.
I know I could throw a rock and hit a billboard for a personal injury ambulance chaser. But I’d rather have the contact info for someone legit. I may not need it, but I’m waiting to see what my insurance will pay out (other driver was uninsured, yay!).
Thanks in advance!

sorry you’re dealing with that. uninsured driver + hospital visit + missed work is exactly the kind of situation where it’s at least worth talking to somebody before you trust the insurance company to “do the right thing.”
honestly i’d call a few places and see who actually talks to you like a person instead of a sales script. the firm i work for, angel reyes & associates - we got an office in Plano, handles a ton of uninsured motorist cases in texas and they’ll usually tell you pretty quickly whether you even need a lawyer or not. either way, don’t rush into signing anything from insurance while you’re still treating.

did you find someone? i am in similar situation

Uninsured driver + hospital visit + lost wages is exactly the kind of case where talking to a PI lawyer early saves you headaches. Angel Reyes & Associates cover Collin County and deal with uninsured motorist claims all the time. They’re not the billboard type either

If you have PIP (personal injury protection) then you are covered for lost income. Bodily injury protection coverage by the other party can cover medical treatment and related expenses.

If you have engaged you insurance, you won’t need an attorney

Insurance doesn’t cover loss of wages.

I guess you don't know what you're talking about.

Uninsured motorist pay out will pay back your damaged and be gone quick.

I hate the be the bearer of bad news: You likely won't get a dime from the guy who hit you. If they do not carry insurance it probably means they are impoverished. You can't pluck any feathers from a bald chicken.

Yes, I can personally recommend the Hamilton Law firm in Plano. Here's their url. https://hlfplano.com/
Travis is a GREAT attorney. Give them a call if you are still looking.
Hope that helps.

Thank you all for the recommendations! I will be making some phone calls tomorrow and setting up consultations.
This really took a load off my shoulders. I had no idea where to even start looking without getting bombarded by ambulance chasers (although I have been tempted to call The Texas Hammer after decades of commercials 😅)

Haven’t ever used them, but you can’t turn on a radio station in DFW without hearing a Frenkel & Frenkel commercial.

Yes you do need it - if you're injured and / or will be missing work. An attorney consultation will be free. They'll tell you what you're up against. The insurance company insures your car - everything around that is questionable at best.

If the other driver wasn’t insured then it’s unlikely any attorney will help you go after them unless the driver has some sort of assets or other way to pay (unlikely given the lack of insurance). The attorney can help with the UM claim. You shouldn’t wait for the payout before getting an attorney.
