I’ve heard numbers are down across the country, so I wanted to see. Me: ***179 hours since May, C182…***

id say its acceptable. maybe a little less than what id want The weather in the northeast is certainly worse. Many more days of sitting around doing nothing. Although I did end up flying over 100 hours between july and early august. Slowing down again April and may was brutal, had to doordash to make ends meet. Luckily I was in a busy area for that

There’s an airport near me that has jump operations and as a recreational PPL holder, I’m more interested in 1. How long is Rach flight amd 2. Do you log each flight individually or lump them all together at the end of the day?

1. Depends on the plane, but 15-30 minutes round-trip. 2. Log it all at the end of the day.

It seems like things are way down in the Midwest. I'm a fill-in at a few dropzones and I have barely been used this year. Some of the turbine guys aren't flying their minimums (for the non jump pilots, full-timers often get paid per load with a minimum number of loads per day or week).

I have heard the civilian operators here in Arizona are down this year (summer is our slow season anyway) so I am mainly talking about last spring. The Military guys are still racking up hours.
