It was another attempt at uncensored social media, naively unaware that their biggest selling point is also their biggest problem.

There's a lot of hate for the new digg before it even launches. I think reddit mods are scared they're going to lose their manual moderation powers. All of the people upset about the new launch seem to think reddit needs MORE manual moderation. That's absolutely insane, it's already so one sided and the rules are only enforced for one political party. Digg is going to automate a lot of this so the liberal subs will have to apply their rules fairly for once. Back to an actual front page of the internet vs a controlled one.

While I agree that there’s too much moderation on Reddit, Digg’s method of using AI is not likely to be as good as they claim. I am also hesitant to join anything that has a negative track record with previous iterations but I’ll reserve judgement until after it launches
