Because the blood cell gets rewarded by continuing to exist in a 1:1 ratio. $7 per hour is not a livable wage so you wonder why you are even wasting your time when you could be doing something better like sitting around home jerking off and collecting government benefits.

Well yeah some jobs are not worth doing for the money alone, but working at all means a better job might be easier to get now that Anon has any work experience at all. Still a shitty situation but with no marketable skills and no networking ability, Anon has to create an advantage somewhere. Unless for some reason Anon just wants to deliver pizzas until retirement, and expects that job to pay well enough to afford a life worth living. But that would be stupid.

I think of it like this, the blood cell doesn't have to pay rent, car insurance, food costs, etc it just exists and only has to worry about its function.
