Black market arms in western Europe: "I got this Glock blank gun clone for 2500€, its a good price bro trust me"
Black market arms in Syria: "Hey i got this T55 tank laying around, you need one? Price 120,000. Also there's romanian AK for 450€"
Rockfish00@reddit
status prices vs use prices
Zestyprotein@reddit
The T-55 was Certified PreOwned, and went through a 52-point inspection. You're not going to find a better deal this side of the Euphrates.

$150 for 4 STG’s and 6 magazines WITH ammunition? Whot ze fok bruder.
Rockfish00@reddit
A lot of remaining nazi garbage was sent out as apart of military aid, same reason that you see East German AKs in the middle east.
ImUnreal@reddit
Yep! Stalin sent STG-44's and German Panzer IV tanks among other things to Syria, supposedly the some Panzer IV's saw action during the six days war. Israel still had US Sherman tanks during the six days war as well.

How does the black market over in Syria actually work in terms of currency?
Is cash still king?
Wondering a little about this considering how rapidly cashless payment is spreading elsewhere, to the point some people have functionally stopped any cash safe for some emergency banknotes altogether.
spitfire-haga@reddit
That is why I always carry some cash on me, in case I randomly stumble upon a Syrian guy offering me an StG44 or a North Korean T-55.
Gitzser@reddit
thought i was the only one, but haven't seen any random Syrian arms dealer with a WW2 stock
spitfire-haga@reddit
That one day when you finally give up and leave your house with no cash, he'll be standing on the street, four StGs slung over his shoulder.

When you leave the hell you have at home and realize that heaven is just outside the door
Captain_Vegetable@reddit
That Tula AKM is breaking my brain. What use case could justify putting the trigger in front of the magazine and using a drink coaster as a stock? Make it make sense.
