Eating food and drinking no water (only soda) is just how most Americans live lol. Anon definitely seems like the type to be like this as well. Water fasting (the proper way) actually requires effort for people
The amount of people I live around that say they don’t like the taste of water or how flavorless it is is astounding. I’m like it’s keeping you alive for gods sake! Hell, at work I had a patient who drank only two items each day. A Diet Coke for breakfast, and a Diet Coke before bed.
There's dry fasting and wet fasting which is also called water fasting. Basically fasting but you still drink water.
Now the debate is which one makes you lose fat faster. Some would argue dry fasting would burn more fat to release much needed fluids to sustain the body and so on. I'm not sure as I havent really delved into this rabbit hole. I'm just on reddit to fap to femboys.
There is different forms of fasting, because some of us hate the dreaded day 3 dizzy
Fasting mimicking diet. A creation by dr longo(hes not that long in reality) that creates roughly the same conditions of fasting in the cell, increased autophagy
Snake water fasting. What I do mostly, which is essential non salts and actual sodium only fasting(k, mag and sodium diluted water). K(potassium) is the one that when depleted makes you feel big shit on day 3, so supplementation of it helps
Water only fast. First popularity in russia from that documentary which is like a 2 week long schedule, absolutely brutal and only for those with some kind of deep self hatred
It seems like a fairly normal misunderstanding, yeah. When your doctor tells you to fast, they still allow you to drink water. So it's just fasting. Generally two words together in the name of a thing doesn't signify an exclusion but in this one you're excluding water from the fast and that... Who would bother calling it that?
It is likely downstream of 'juice fast' if I had to guess.a qualifier in that case makes sense, and adding a qualifier where one previously wasn't necessary due to the other receiving one makes some amount of sense.
some actors and most body builder do 'fast from water' for a few days before shoot/completion to shed water weight and show muscle definition under the skin better.
Henry Cavil said it was so tough that he could 'smell' water during a shoot the first season of the witcher
Yeah but not as fast as you might think. Your body will make metabolic water from Hydrogen in your body breaking up fat and oxygen in the air. There's just a limit to it and generally you'll hear 3 days without water. You might lose weight even with this diet change.

For a while I thought it was the like 12 hours or something before a weigh in where fighters dont drink water and use the sauna a bunch.

I don’t know how people dislike water. I love some ice cold water after being in the sun for a while.

Common misconception, water fasting is what got Terry Schiavo in such good shape.

Fasting will lose fat, however thats rarely the main point of doing it. Its a side effect at best

i mean, i get it. fast means "to abstain from" so i can see where the retardation could kick in.
i've always just called it "fasting" tho. it should be obvious that it's referring to food and not to everything. no need to add the word "water".

I’ll say this. Experience is wonderful as a teacher and “you don’t know what you don’t know”. It’s so true.

A lot of religious fasting excludes water, like Ramadan. Not sure if anyone argues for full fasting for health reasons
