I'm sure you made a lot of 'friends' that day.

I’ve been fawning over these things for 5 years. After all the mainstream guntubers made videos about them a couple of years ago (especially GarandThumb) and the prices went up by several thousand, I essentially lost hope that I would get to shoot one myself
Unfortunately, handling one in person only makes me want one more. This thing rocked. I was impressed by how flat-shooting it was. I will say, however, that it was a very gassy experience — you can see in the video that this gun is not meant for indoor ranges. You’ll also notice that the concussion caught my friend holding the camera off guard (I wouldn’t say the intensity was atypical for a battle rifle, but you can definitely feel how much more powerful this is than an AR-15 lol)

Sweet gun once I saw someone review it on YouTube I was super interested (definitely cost prohibiting for me)!
The first full auto gun I ever fired was a BAR back when I was in middle school wish I could do that now the owner only loaded a few rounds at a time since it’s a beast and I hadn’t shot a full auto before but it was definitely amazing!

I'll never get the hype around this thing

Giant expensive heavy 30-06. I really do not get the appeal. The ones done up to resemble the original BAR I can see wanting if one had the money but you could get such a nice Garand and a lot of ammo for the same money. Or a hell of a nice M1A/other 30 cal build.

Mmmm indoors 30-06

That blast is incredible, yeah, definitely looks a bit challenging to shoot indoors, ha ha. I love the original 1918A2 too much not to scratch my head looking at these a bit, but the BAR pedigree at its core is kind of fun. Would definitely be an interesting and fun rifle to get some trigger time behind.

It takes a lot of gun to tame the recoil of a 30-06 like that. Definitely in my top three dream guns to own.
