I need a recommendation

I’m 5”11, male.
I need something that will help me commute and travel across London city often.
What I’m looking for:
-
I need quite a bit of range on it, perhaps 40-50miles minimum.
-
I have a budget of £900 (€1200).
-
I prioritise comfort especially in the seating, I’ve seen moped style bikes and I like them
-
Something with good amount of features like brake lights, anti theft features etc
-
Something reliable, not a crappy Chinese bike.
Thanks in advance!

I looked a long time for an affordable ebike. I needed a foldable one. I am 5.7, so this bike just barely fits my height criteria. I am female, so many of the bikes I looked at were far too heavy. It is an Asian brand. Onesport OT16-2. I did some modifications with help from my mofa (vespa) mechanic. I couldn't find anything in my price range of 1200 euro. My mechanic said it is indeed well built.
I get 120 km range, which is great. I have the throttle on and have it registered with special plates, which cost me 32 euros a year for insurance. I live in Germany. I can go up to 25 kmh, but rarely bother as I try to get the most out of my battery.
I just completed a 300 km ride along the Mosel river with my gear. It held up great.
Not all Asian brands are bad.
I do not work for or represent Onesport in any way.
Converting a city bike would have sprung my budget. That is why I didn't go this route.
Good luck, and please post here what you decided doing. Check out YouTube if you want to convert a city bike.

Check Facebook Marketplace in your area. So many people bought ebikes during covid and stopped using them when things went back to normal and there's always people posting them for sale on Marketplace. You can find some that are basically brand new and will cost you a lot less money than buying a brand new one. If you can find a good condition RAD for a good price I'd definitely recommend it. Good quality batteries and very easy to find replacement parts/upgrades for them
