Radexpand 5 battery not charging and won’t turn on

My rad expand 5E bike isn’t charging properly. The cable is plugged in and warm to the touch, but the bike won’t turn on and charge at all. It turned off midway through my ride and I can’t seem to turn it back on again.
Can anyone help with this?

How old is the battery? The symptoms are usually an indicator of bad cell group. Not charging means that atleast one cell group is significantly lower than others and the BMS is currently in its protection mode and will not charge nor discharge.

still under warranty? contact manufacturer.

It basically new. I'll start checking if it has a fuse or bad connection but I'd suggest to just return it assuming it still has its warranty.

Grab a multimeter and learn how to check the voltage at the discharge port on the battery. Make sure it is showing good voltage. If good, then you know the problem is somewhere else on the bike.

It's probably the power button/control module. I recently repaired a different RAD for a customer and it was a similar situation. It quit mid ride and wouldn't turn on, I replaced the switch unit for less than $100 from Rad and it worked.
Also, check both fuses in your battery, they under little covers on the bottom side of most Rad packs.
