Are electric walking bikes cheaper on certain sites or regions?

"I came across this really cool electric walking bike and it’s kind of like a treadmill you can ride. A mix between walking and biking, and honestly, it caught my attention right away. Been looking for unique products that add to my collection.
What’s puzzling though is the price difference across platforms. I’ve seen it on local online stores. I've seen it on etsy, ebay, and amazom. I even checked international platforms like Alibaba and global sources out of curiosity. Some of the listings there are waaay cheaper like, significantly. But then again, I’m wondering if it’s too good to be true when you factor in shipping, customs, and possibly needing to buy more than one unit.
Has anyone here actually bought one of these? Either from Alibaba or anywhere else? Was it worth it? How did the cost compare overall?
Also, if you’re in North America, I’d love to hear how much these bikes are going for in your area. Are local stores selling them at reasonable prices or is importing a better deal?
I’m partly thinking of it as a personal purchase… but part of me is thinking there might be a small business opportunity here too. Not sure yet, but doing some research first. "

I’ve seen those electric walking bikes too, and the price gap between local stores and sites like Alibaba is huge. Sometimes the savings vanish after shipping, customs, or bulk requirements. If you do import, check seller reviews and warranty options quality can vary a lot depending on the manufacturer.

Electric walking bikes can be priced all over the place, and yeah, Alibaba often has them listed for way less than what you’d see on Amazon or in local stores. The thing is, once you factor in shipping, customs, and sometimes having to order more than one, those savings can shrink fast. If it’s just for personal use, buying from a local or regional seller might actually be simpler and not that much more expensive. But if you’re thinking business, Alibaba could be worth it, especially if you order in bulk and spread the shipping costs across multiple bikes.

you often see that with shoddy or novelty products.

I've seen one and tried it out, it's a novelty and terrible. hard to steer, hard to balance, will throw you off if you need to stop quickly

There’s a guy in philly who rides (?) an elliptigo every day on the river trail

there's probably a good reason he's on a trail, instead of a bike lane or somewhere less controlled, imo

I was struggling with the idea of a "treadmill you can ride", since that's, like, the ground. A quick google brings up a lopifit; something that looks like a larger scooter. Not understanding the point at the moment...
