Hell even big named companies have the same problems. It’s just most of the time people trust them so they don’t take their products apart unless there’s an issue. Just check the recalls on the bigger companies.

Bicycle shops don’t want to take on this fire risk and losing their shop to a AliExpress e-bike and I don’t blame them
boshbosh92@reddit
I mean yeah, u bought it from alibaba.. no way you're actually surprised right?
masssy@reddit
There's plenty of serious manufacturers and sellers at Alibaba. I've bought stuff from the same factory that makes equipment for Schneider Electric etc. Perfect window blinds sized to the millimeter to fit my windows etc.
But you got to be smart about it. You can't buy a $500 ebike from some shady actor and think it's the best stuff there is...

OP didn't buy this from alibaba, they bought it used with a known faulty battery because they felt the other parts were worth the price. That's why they are saying you're commenting without reading.

Im more surprised you leave comments without reading the post

Are you referring to the post where you confirmed a cell was put into the lithium ion battery backwards by the alibaba manufacturer?
Technical_Pie667@reddit (OP)
Reading the title isnt the same as reading the post bro
Cargobiker530@reddit
That's not Alibaba's fault. That's some idiot thinking he could get a too good to be true battery for half the price a reputable battery maker would charge. Pretty much begging to get ripped off.
stormdelta@reddit
The fact that anyone expected a functional bike for those prices and specs is quite frankly insane. Like... what the hell were you even expecting here man?
gravelpi@reddit
Easy to not notice when you have zero QA process in place and "hire" near-slave labor.
mcdougall57@reddit
Yeah the guy making this probably didn't have time to give a shit.
NxPat@reddit
Or take one.
Damaniel2@reddit
Buying anything with that many lithium batteries from Alibaba is just asking to have your house burn down. There's a reason why people here try to discourage buying cheap bikes direct from Chinese Alibaba sellers, and this is Exhibit A.

Bruh, what were you expecting?
