Does Ruf build their own engines or are they using Porsche engines?

I know that they use Porsche bodies but do they also use their engines?

The engines are all Porsche based, minus the RGT8 V8 they developed. However many many of the parts are all bespoke.

Used to be Porsche based, now they build everything themselves, they cast there own blocks and heads, nothing is interchangeable with any Porsche flat 6.
