hi all, i upgraded from i5 12400f to i5 14600kf
my motherboard is: Gigabyte b660m Gaming ddr4 rev 1.0
in cinebench r23 my multicore score is 21.000.. i see on web that i5 14600kf has scores around 24 000
is problem in my motherboard because only half of vrm mos hae heatsink ? or motherboard not have enough power to supply i5 14600kf ?

My 14600KF wouldn’t go above 21,202 points. I tried a bunch of things, and the only thing that actually worked was enabling the Ultimate Performance power plan via CMD. The previous power plan was limiting my CPU. After that, I did a basic undervolt and Cinebench hit 24,642.

Hi Mate, not sure if you have resolved your issue but my i5-14600K on B660M Asus Prime installed today has a Cinebench R23 score of 24109.

my score is still 21k, seems my mobo is weak for 14600kf... but is okey, problem is only in cinebench. i wont waste money on new mobo. in gaming no problems as games dont stress cpu like cinebench... so its fine.

No it may not be your MB. It depends on your bios because newer bios, will cap the performance of Intel chips. You need to go-to your bios to check details. My pl2 is 253W

What cooler? Latest bios version?
Are you intending to use the PC for full load tasks for sustained periods of time? If you’re only using it for gaming, this benchmark score really isn’t the end of the world. Real world performance benchmark, aka you just gaming, would be more insightful

Cooler : Deepcool ak500 Bios latest F32 For gaming only and i use pc for browsing web

And your temps were? That really does not seem like a sufficient cooler for a 14600k under full load for an extended period of time.
But for gaming? You should be okay

The gigabyte B660m has some of the lower cinebench scores. Add that with the insufficient cooler and this all makes sense.
Again, none of this of this matters because it’s a benchmark unrelated to gaming. Play a game. Are your temps fine? Are your clock speeds what you should be getting on the cpu and GPU? Are you getting the full performance out of the GPU? Aka are you mostly sitting at 90%+ GPU load? The 14600k is a good cpu, it’s not bottlenecking anything.
If all that checks out, you’re good.
