Albania traveling

Hi everyone,
We’re a group of six friends from Slovakia visiting Albania for 8 days. We’ll arrive in the evening, spend the first night in Tirana, then drive to Himarë for a few days before heading to Ksamil. We’ll have a rental car, so we’re wondering what places, food, or experiences along the way we really shouldn’t miss, and if there’s anything we should be careful about when driving or sightseeing.
Also, how is it with payments in Albania? Is card widely accepted, or is it better to carry cash most of the time?

In terms of places to visit, there are many places like Blue Eye, Gjirokastër, Butrinti, and many others. If you have the itinerary, then you can ca plan which place is better to visit depending on your taste also.
Albania is pretty safe, as the other comment mentioned, the driving is kinda crazy but there are milion of tourists who have taken rental cars, and they have done well. So, use common sense, and you will be fine.
Cash is also widely used. Cards can be used in supermarkets, some bars, etc, but cash is better.

Traveling to Albania and you choose the most expensive and shithole place of entire country to spend your vacations? The entire coast of Albanian Riviera is 100x better and cheaper than Ksamil.

Ksamil at this time of the year will be crowded and expensive af.
You should be very careful and alert while driving, driving here is on another level of crazy.
Exchange your money for Albanian Lek in Tirana, cards maybe accepted in some places, but still cash is king.
