BBSO2B or TSDZ8?

Does anyone have experience with both of these motors who could help list the pros and cons? Just from reading up on it, the Tongsheng sounds quieter, lighter and less likely to overheat, not to mention the torque sensor. I would consider a Cyc Photon Gen2, but I don't like the idea of pre-order or possibly getting a model that doesn't have all of the bugs worked out yet.

If you like to pedal the torque sensor is necessary, my bbshd just feels bad to pedal so I resort to the throttle. I will soon try the cyc gen 2. I would have gone with tongsheng but I needed something to fit my bike (34t chainring, 52mm chainline), good power for hills, good tune ability (app). It’s not much louder than bbshd, and I think tongsheng is louder or on par. It’s not bad to fix thanks to tool free maintenance, but buy from a retailer so you can send it to them and not Hong Kong. It’s likely the most dialed in torque sensing motor

The Tong Sheng motors are known to have heat issues.
The same individual that designed that motor also designed the TwoSeven mid drives and he corrected the air-gap flaw .
There is a YT channel (HighVoltageKits) that has an excellent video on the topic.
Also
If you check the YT channel (Ebikebuilder) he has been evaluating the Tong Sheng recently and his immediate observation was that it gets hot af. He has also been plagued with recurring error codes

I checked out the high voltage kits video and noticed one of the first things he said is that he's never used a Tongsheng and heard there were issues. I don't know. Maybe he's referring to the tsdz2, from which the 8 is the upgrade. It's got a larger casing, so I'm guessing they fixed that issue?
I tried watching an ebikebuilder video where he said it was overheating. Didn't explain his build or show what happened before and just freaked and started splashing water around.
Then I looked at a video he released yesterday saying he solved his error issues by switching batteries. Also mentioned the name of the battery company about 40 times before he explained anything. Note: the company selling the battery also gave him the motor.
The main thing I'm learning here is how much I hate YouTube videos. I have no desire to watch 20 hours of video with annoying people who sound like shills when I could read the same information in less than 5 minutes. I wonder if this guy knows what he's doing.

Au contraire my friend, he has extensive coverage of the build and testing of the motor. It is a terrible overheating, controller-error filled experience completely documented first-hand from the unboxing of the donor bike to completion of the conversion to first-person test rides on the streets and trails. The fact that you think he's "shilling" leads me to think either English is not your first language and you lack basic comprehension, or you are just special.

Sure, until his most recent post where he attached the correct battery.

Bbso2 is quieter, does not overheat as much and is time proven. If you don't need a torque sensor it's the way to go

So you've owned a TSDZ8?

Torque sensing would be nice. My bbs02 can hit so hard my feet fly off the pedals at higher power levels.
