Usually, a good summer vacation inevitably includes Greece or at least Montenegro or Croatia. We are spend vacation on the lake for the first time, a lovely surprise! I was also surprised did not expect so many Hungarian and Romanian tourists here on Silver Lake 😊

You won't regret it! Pic 5 where I am standing is the place where they found the excavations and moved them 400 meters away, and Romania is across the river. On the way back, we wanted to visit Viminacium as well, but at 38c it was too hot.

Taxi driving is insanely cheap in Bosnia. Really on a lunatic level cheap when you're used to German taxi prices. The locals told me that even for them using the taxi is not too obscenely expensive compared to let's say groceries, while in Germany many people avoid using the taxi as it's well known how expensive they are.
Plus the drivers are real locals. Really real locals who are always up for a good funny conversation and know, just real...types, know what I mean? For better or for worse tho. Once I wanted to use "Taxi Sarajevo" and they charge you for suitcases and I said we'll that's expensive and dude literally said "ohhhhh this is too expensive for the diaspora princess??" Lol. In Germany many taxi drivers are immigrants, know shit about the town and completely rely on Google maps.
So if I could import ONE thing from Bosnia to Germany in its entirety it would be the taxis.

I went on a road trip around Croatia and Bosnia in June and really loved it. I got chatting to a family from where I'm from when in Senj, Croatia and the husband was trying to convince us not to head in land, he said there was nothing worth seeing and the coast was the best part of Croatia but boy was he wrong. Bosnia was the highlight by a long shot and the people were so unbelievably welcoming and friendly. Even when they didn't speak English, we were able to communicate through other means and at the least has a laugh together as best we could.

I think that a lot of tourist tell me specifically whenever they go on holidays in Greece is that they’re always very surprised by visiting the mainland of Greece.
They’re surprised we have beautiful mountains and huge lakes and the entire mediaeval-looking villages. They’re all surprised to find that Greece is not just a nation of islands and beaches, but we are primarily a mountainous region with many different styles, anyone can find something they like in Greece.
