2002 Toyota Camry. 4cyl. Low idle problem?

Youtube showed me hot to change my spark plugs and ignition coils the other day. There was a significant amount of oil on the spark plugs. Inside the hole as well. Started car and very low idle. I let it sit for a few minutes and the idle started leveling out. Went to drive it and runs terrible. Poor acceleration and feels sluggish. Can anyone help me figure it out? It was alot of oil on the spark plugs and Im scared there may be a bigger issue. 250,000 miles on her. Thanks for your help..

UPDATE: Changed valve cover gasket. Thr old one looked newer but had two broken spots on the gasket that looked like they tried to repair.
Now showing misfire in cylinder 1. Just changed spark plugs and coil packs before this. Got a new spark plug just to see if that would help. No change. Also, when shifting from 2nd to 3rd check engine light blinks, rpms are high and acts like its not wanting to shift. Eventually does and when it gets going seems to be fine. Any suggestions??

There is a seal like an O Ring around each spark plug hole that seals the oil out of the spark plug. As I recall, you just remove the valve cover, replace the gasket and the O Ring seals and that sorts it. Pretty easy job.

Will i need to get the oil out of the spark plug well. It seemed like alot. I have replaced spark plugs once before but I dont remember all that oil being on them...

itll burn off in time. once the seals have been replaced and you start up the engine youll notice a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust, that would be the oil burning up and in a short amount of time the white smoke should stop being produced. this happend to my 06 camry, felt a misfire, inspected plug and found oil: VCG leak.
