Any Flight school in Colorado ?

Hi
Has any one attended flight school in Colorado before ? I’ve read about Rocky Mountain but currently they do not do PPL due to maximum capacity.
I came across another school called Coloradospring at Meadow lake.
Are they a good school? What should I be aware of if I were to move to learn to fly to there in Colorado ? Anyone finish 0-CFII within 12 months as advertised in the web?
Thank you

Hi. I’m a CFII but I no longer instruct. I fly my own TBM and Mooney 231 out of KCFO. There are two flight schools at the field. Western Air Academy which is part of a seven school group American Flight Schools that also owns Aspen Flying Club at KAPA and Western Air Academy at KBJC. They have many aircraft and instructors. The other school is Front Range Flight School. There are at least 5 other schools in the Denver area. KCFO is the furthest from the city center but the easiest to operate out of. Very few delays and surrounded by farms with great places to land in an emergency. KAPA is the most crowded. You will spend 20% more time waiting in line for takeoff behind many training flights and many corporate jets. Good luck! Let me know if you need help with finding a school.

There are tons of schools in Colorado, almost too many to count. That “12 months” figure depends on a lot of things. Even at the best school you need to have the time, money, motivation, among other things, to achieve that goal. Weather will be a factor as well, just like anywhere else, some of your flights will cancel. It is what you make of it.
