Should I upgrade or wait

I recently upgraded to the am5 chipset and got myself a ryzen 5 7500f since it was very cheap (upgraded from 5600x). I was able to spend about 300 ish on all the padts for the upgrade Ram, cpu. Cooler, and obviously MB, but I am still rocking a rtz 3070, would it be better to upgrade my gpu or swap to a 7800/9800x3d for the price:performance ratio.

GPU will give you far more performance room as 7/9800X3D will hold you back with 3070 (especially that 8GB VRAM buffer)

First answer why you think you need an upgrade?

I wouldn’t 100% listen to the ppl who are telling you not to upgrade if you aren’t happy with the performance. From my experience the 3070 is definitely lacking in modern AAA games if you play 1440p 144-165hz+ especially since it’s only 8gb. I think only a 5070 or better would be worth it so if that isn’t in your budget I would just save up or wait. Getting a better cpu won’t help a ton unless you play cpu heavy games/fps and/or wanna have better .1% lows.

I'd say upgrading your gpu would be the best thing to do next. The 3070 is still a fine card and if your happy with your current performance, then I wouldn't sweat upgrading anything. However the 8gb of vram is going to become an issue in the not so distant future.

Do you even need an upgrade? Are you not happy with performance?

I wouldn't recommend upgrading right now, your wallet will thank you. A 3070 is still a darn good card, and certainly won't be out-of-date until at least the next console generation.

I think you should consider this computer build: https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador/65E6D68dF

Probably upgrade GPU, even the 7500f can handle all but the highest end cards.
