Crv vs CrossTrek

Needs context on the CRV or Subaru CrossTrek (limited)
Which of these would be a better option? I do live in the DC Metro and my commute is generally 2-5 miles daily.
Been with Honda for majority of my life and know the brand/model (been told stick with what you know). The only that’s holding me back is the screen (I know that’s a bit weird…lol)
I wanna grasp is the safety features, I read that the CrossTrek is a CR Best Buy (don’t know if CRV is)
Any advice, recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Not a fan of VW?
Touareg is getting discontinued soon, and may be available at a discount.
How often is this vehicle actually going to be taken Offroad?

Really and not off-roading

I’d vote CRV but I have one so I’m bias. But it really comes down to what you need.
CRV has significantly more space, and if you go with a hybrid better gas mileage. The Crosstrek is more capable and modifiable, and also would work better for driving and parking im the city since it’s shorter.
As for the screen, I like the CRV screen better than Subaru. Even though it’s smaller it feels more modern, and I like that Honda stuck with physical buttons for climate control, seat heater etc

They're in different size classes. The CRV is more like the Outback than the Crosstrek. My partner found the crosstrek too small and just didn't like the infotainment system of Subaru in general.

I’d say for mechanical longevity, go with Honda. Subaru engines are known to not really be great after 100k, where Hondas can go to 200k with preventative maintenance.

I can’t speak on crv cars but the crostrek in my experience is atleast pretty comfortable and nice to drive, and looks decent, tho I work for a dealership for em so might be biased but I’ve never been a huge Subaru fan
