2019 Audi Q5 Premium or 2025 Mazda CX-30 Question

My wife and I have the opportunity to purchase a 2019 Audi Q5 Premium with 100k miles for $15k from family or purchase and finance a new 2025 Mazda CX-30 from the dealership ($25k-28k).
I want to buy the Audi because it’s a premium vehicle for a great price that we know the condition of.
My wife wants to buy the CX-30 because she’s worried about the cost of repairs, wear and tear, warranties, etc. All the concerns that come with purchase of a used car.
What would you pick if you were given the options and why?

Q5 is hardly luxurious anyway.

A 4 to 5 year old German luxury vehicle is when parta start to break. I would stay very far away from the Audi.

just bought a 2020 cx30 astina and its very nice in side. smaller screen but lots of leather, a nice place to be. was my dad's and he sold a q3 for this and its nicer, more reliable and cheaper.

If you're able to afford an average of $5k a year on maintenance (including brakes/tires) I'd go for the Audi. Don't get a CX-30, the cargo space is ridiculously small for what it is. At least get a CX-5 if you go the Mazda route. If you really want to save cash, pick one of those up used.

Someone once told me "European cars don't get cheaper, they just trade costs. If you can't afford it new you can't afford it used." Because of that I've always avoided them.
I want a BMW X5 more than like any other car, but I really don't want a used one I'm stuck repairing.

My dad gave me a great deal on his X5 when he was upgrading. It's been a great car, but repairs are not cheap. I've spent as much on repairs as what I paid for it so far. Which to be fair to I totally expected to have to do, but still stings of course. I'm trying to get another year out of it, which I'm fairly confident I will. It's a diesel and great ski car.

I’ve had Audis. Buy the Mazda. It’s just as nice, comes with a warranty and is probably better equipped.

Mazda

I’m on team Mazda here.

The CX-30 is raised, the Mazda 3 drives a lot better. CUVs drive poorly.

And you get about the same amount of cargo space. The CX-30 is SMALL.

Mazda. Hands down. They’re really nice inside, and I’d much rather have a new car than somebody old problem.

I’d go with the Mazda due to cheaper repair cost, cheaper gas, warranty

Repair costs are definitely not to be dismissed on premium German cars!

Your wife is right. Mazda is top quality without the headache of expensive German maintenance and repairs.

Renault Captur.
You'll be cruising down the streets like Latto in that sleek brokey boss bitch.

Mazda. The turbo cx30 actually boogies for a small cuv. Get an insurance quote for both. The Audi will most likely be 2.5x-3x the premium of the Mazda. Used parts are expensive, service is also pricey and you’ll also be paying for high octane fuel. Whereas the Mazda (even the turbo) is fine on regular.

Mazda.
Luxury European vehicles over 100k. You're basically gambling unless you have extended warranty. Anything that goes wrong will cost thousands and things will certainly go wrong.

Mazda
If I was given the Audi I would promptly sell it. Ain’t nobody got time for the headaches it will bring.

Your wife is correct. Nothing beats a new vehicle, which also comes with a warranty. 100k is 100k, regardless how well maintained that Audi was, wear and tear items will need replacement and it won’t be cheap.
