> I think I remember a time when Pizza Hut served beer to the grown ups. Anyone remember this? Apparently: “The first Pizza Hut in Sioux Falls opened in 1968 at 1924 S. Minnesota Ave., though not without a minor controversy. A petition was submitted to the city objecting to the restaurant’s request for a class D beer license. Neighbors of the new business didn’t want drunken revelry and beer cans all up their quiet street. Pizza Hut representatives said the business wouldn’t sell beer in cans, only on tap, and only to accompany meals.
