Did the quality improve? "Our screen is now 18" instead of 15"!!" But did QUALITY improve? "Wheels 1" bigger !!" WHAT ABOUT BUILT QUALITY? "fancy new lights!"

Agreed!! 💯 I guess GMC Yukon still reigns supreme for the "Black Truck"category
View on Reddit #68844706

indyanajoes@reddit

Last I checked GM had engines seizes up in the middle of highway driving and its the most popular large Suv. Point being that we all want quality, but you are lying if you think one company has that figured out. All manufactures are selling on features, look, and fore GMC status. Reliability only matter when they have recall cost that impact their bottom line.

Have a 22 - build quality is on part with anything else in its price range.

Even if it’s reliable who in the right mind would spend 100k + for this when there are numerous better, cheaper and better value cars?

If Chrysler could figure out their positioning in the market, that would be great.

I don't understand why anyone would buy a jeep that isn't a wrangler or a gladiator. Every other vehicle in their lineup is done better by another brand. And having sat in the wagoneer, I was shocked at how big it is on the outside compared to how small it feels inside. I don't care for the packaging at all
View on Reddit #63677400

tobyhatesmemes2@reddit

Judging by the cars I see on the road each day, a lot of people.

A ton of people buy these. I was in Orlando FL and these seem to be the de facto family disney mobile
View on Reddit #63650267

idksomuch@reddit

Next time you see one, take a look at the rear plates and see if there's a yellow "PM" sticker where the registration tag would be. Those are rental vehicles for Florida plated cars. CA has a white "Permanent Fleet" sticker on the top right of the rear plates. A lot of states have some variation of PM or Perm Fleet tags for rentals. Every time I see a Wagoneer, Pacifica, or Dodge Hornet, it's a rental most of the time. If it's a Hornet, 105% of the time.

Rentals

Exactly. Rental. All out from either Tampa or Orlando. Our family rented this because of the amount of luggage it hauled. It sat us comfortably and had more than enough cargo. Great rental. Will never purchase one though.

Probably rentals? I had one as a rental and it was fine for what it was. I would never buy one but they are great for a family + luggage.

Yeah definitely overpriced & most of that price tag goes towards the brand than the vehicle anyway. This will just further push more people towards Japanese & European cars.

My neighbors spent fat money on a brand new JGW. It then spent the next 18 months at the dealer getting everything replaced but 1 rear seats and a body panel.

Honestly waiting for the Honda pilot hybrid, I just hope Honda puts a bigger screen then it's normal 9 inches. The pilot is like 55 for the top model.

AdmiralGeneralAgnew@reddit

Worst part to me of all of that is I hate big wheels, especially on Jeeps which need the sidewall. I may never be in the market or income bracket for a Canyonero class SUV so Jeep isn't selling to me, but dang it should've been a Chrysler.

Fair, but literally zero companies talk about quality or reliability when launching a new car or facelift
View on Reddit #63649501

Secret_Professor_138@reddit

I have 2022, had 5th child and needed bigger car with very little options at that time because of chip shortage and not many could afford them in our area, so literally only large suv. Other factors for timing because my husband got a new job and had to return his company car and new job did not have one. We love ours and have not had any issues and we have 68k miles on it.
View on Reddit #67037086

TRX_GUY@reddit

93 comments of people's opinions and 1 owner who is happy. It's amazing the number of people who hate Wagoneers. Full-size GM suvs have no issues apparently.
View on Reddit #67289115

joemanatl@reddit

Jeez, so much hate on here for Jeep and Stellantis. I have a 22 Wagoneer with 70K miles. I have a large family and do lots of towing of our camper and trailers. It's been rock solid and we love it. It didn't cost 100K either. We paid around 68K plus tax for a Series II with the technology package and a Hemi V8. Got 9K off sticker even back then.
View on Reddit #64127929

PilotsAnnon@reddit

lol, my experience is pretty close to the same as yours. If you haven’t towed with the hurricane yet, you should try it. I was beyond surprised - tows amazing.

“Jeep Launches A $76,535 SUV For Value-Conscious Consumers” What kind of drugs are they on over there at Stellantis?
View on Reddit #63646585

PilotsAnnon@reddit

For 76 in the real world, you’re really getting a base or low spec GX. Driven both, and bought the WL. The jeep Powertrain is smoother, has more power, and has way more room. I got the premium pack, and HD tow pack and spent only 67k. Couple hiccups early on - all resolved, and car has been flawless since. 40k miles now, and will buy another one here in a couple more years.
View on Reddit #66519395

wild_cat5@reddit

I think value conscious consumers aren’t the words a rational person would use ti describe a Jeep owner.
View on Reddit #63785080

poopoomergency4@reddit

to be fair, you probably can't get a GX for that money since they're not making enough and toyota/lexus dealers love to slap on that ADM. but it's still very overpriced

I rented a new one WL and drove over 1800 miles with 7 adults. Wonderful drive, so much room and would only want to rent that over the rivals.

I have a rental 4xe Grand Wagoneer right now since my car got rear ended. It's the complete opposite of a car I like to drive but...it's kind of nice? Even with 40k miles.

You meant to say 4xe Grand Cherokee. The 4xe Grand Wagoneer won't be out until the end of the year.

Anytime! Just like how the Wagoneers' 4WD system can malfunction *anytime*...like when it's parked in our pick up lot and a customer tries to drive off after finishing up the paperwork -_-
View on Reddit #63655272

joemanatl@reddit

I wonder how and if they'll add V2L (Vehicle 2 Load) capability like the 7.2kW Power Panel on the Ramcharger for external use. Say for camping or power tool use. I'd hate to have to leave the tailgate open to access a Power Panel. Maybe an extra access door in the back? An adapter power panel that plugs into the charging port doesn't seem stable enough. Any ideas?

DocPhilMcGraw@reddit (OP)

I’m surprised Jeep is still trying to make the Grand Wagoneer work and still be a separate model too. I thought they would’ve just consolidated the two models into one by now. [Hopefully the redesign won’t have the same electrical gremlins that require an entire interior to be torn up.](https://www.carscoops.com/2024/06/tiny-cable-damage-triggers-total-jeep-grand-wagoneer-interior-disassembly/)

View on Reddit #63657724

Drzhivago138@reddit

Yes, they admitted some time ago that trying to make Wagoneer a sub-brand was a mistake. The Wagoneer S EV also has a Jeep badge on the front even though pre-production models didn't have it.

The only reason this turd didn't go the way of the Commander is because during the pandemic, people with money were so desperate for new cars they talked themselves into something from Stellantis. Over/under how many more model years? I say +/-2

"This means we can look forward to a 3.6-liter V6 engine, a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, and a roughly 92 kWh battery pack" This is actually insane. It's basically two complete powertrains in one car.
View on Reddit #63649003

Drzhivago138@reddit

Something I didn't notice until just now: it has 8-lug wheels. Like the Ramcharger or REV, I suspect it's now heavy enough that it's legally a 3/4 ton.
View on Reddit #63668278

Foreign-Box-4063@reddit

Am I crazy or is that a big ass battery pack for a hybrid
View on Reddit #63650143

GeneralStunkfish@reddit

Because it’s not really a hybrid like we’re used to. It’s a range extended EV. If I’m not mistaken the gas engine is just a generator, it’s not mechanically connected to the drivetrain.
View on Reddit #63658660

turb0_encapsulator@reddit

absurdly large. For comparison this is the same size as the standard battery pack in the Rivian R1S. The Volvo XC90 Recharge has an 18.8 kWh battery, and is the closest comparison for a three-row plug-in hybrid I can think of.
