Hiboy C1 - 2 month review

I bought the Hiboy C6 this year at the end of May. I paid 600CAD right from hiboy.ca.
I've been using to commute to work nearly every day, about 10 kms (6 miles) each way. The battery just gets me there. I have to charge while at work which really isn't a big deal for me. It's fully charged in about 4 hours.
I have a timer set up at home to shut off after 4 hours to prevent overcharging and more importantly, fires. At work I just unplug at lunch. So far I haven't seen any degradation.
I mainly use the throttle because pedaling isn't really an option unless you run out of battery. It's hard to pedal and only has one gear.
The build quality seems pretty great so far. One of the crankarms came loose on me after a couple of weeks, but a bit of Loctite solved that. The brakes are fantastic, feel solid, almost a bit overkill if I'm being honest. I bought a handlebar bag and phone holder, both essential in my view. Also bought a longer seat post from a local bikeshop, as it was a bit short for my 6'1" frame.
Overall I am pretty happy with this bike. Next year I think will buy a full sized e-bike though, I would like to use the pedals to get SOME exercise. I call this one a sit-down scooter. I like that it is comfortable and feels more stable than a scooter.

The bike tires from Costco came inflated to only 10 PSI. Riding at low psi will very much affect performance and also risk the tire coming off. Tires are rated to 41 PSI

how is your review after 8 month?

It’s been winter here in Canada, so I haven’t ridden since October. However…. I had a breakdown (my fault) and needed to order a part. Still waiting six months later.

I know it’s a ln old post, but I hope this finds you. I’m thinking of buying one, but you say you barely get 10km from a full charge? May I asked you approx weight? Uphill? Does at actually get up to 32km/h? Thanks

I weigh about 200 lbs. I use it on the max setting most of the time. It get's up to 32 k no problem.

I let my friend borrow the bike for A DAY the bike is only a week old he says the tire came off of the rim. Haven’t had the chance to take a look yet.. what could have went wrong?

that's odd, unless it went flat. I had to replace the tube on mine, and it was tricky to get it to seat perfectly, otherwise it was out of balance. Maybe they were curb hopping?
