I’ve seen this sentiment repeated many times, and I don’t really get it. What does that experience look like for other men on a personal level? Obviously anecdotal, but pretty much all the people I’ve been close to—girlfriends (current and past), good friends, parents—have always seemed supportive and invested in my well-being. Never felt like they diminished my struggles or suggested I should take stuff on the chin because I’m a man (or really at all, for any reason).

Is this not how it goes for other guys? It’s hard for me to conceptualize dating or being friends with somebody who openly doesn’t care about how I’m doing.

Other is societal expectations. You might have genuinely good people around you and that's good. Most don't. They get the reaction equivalent to, " that's crazy, anyway, I require X thing from you, can you do it?"

And finally, peer pressure in men, which mostly deals with wealth and success. A lot tend to victimize themselves internally because they aren't a wealthy famous guy but just another office drone or whatever normal job you have.

First of all you have a very exagerated view of past men. Most of them weren't abusive or whatever, feminism was just a useful tool of big capital and some other minorities I shall not name in order to disrupt traditional units in society. The end goal is well more money and power for them.

Also men's struggles are always ignored. We've evolved that way because women are in fact more precious than men for the survival of the group. The issue is that if men used to be rewarded with power and recognition for living such a thankless life. The man had power to mostly make sure the woman he has invested so much time and energy into wasn't going to leave him on a whim (as they do nowadays) in order to have a more balanced and successful offspring. There was other incentives as well, of course.

And now you have nothing of the sort. Men are expected to toil away in silence, without any recognition or counterpart to it. Women can do whatever they want, which is usually whatever the man doesn't want. She can ruin his life for lols and giggles because of emotions. And so on and so on.

Most people imagine collapse as something dramatic and sudden. In reality a collapse is pretty quiet and very gradual. I'm not sure basic logistics like food chain will ever "fail", it's more so that prices will rise, wages will stagnate, inflation will be rampant etc and so patterns of consumption will naturally shift.
