what banks give $0 ATM fees? (Other banks ATM fees reimbursed)

some banks under some accounts refund you ATM fees from BOTH sides
you know how an ATM says that it will charge you a $3.50 service fee, well at the end of the month they refund you
what banks do that?
I'm in US
two I know of are:
TD Beyond Checking https://www.td.com/us/en/personal-banking/checking-accounts/beyond but seems tricky to have a $0 monthly fee - need to have direct deposits setup
> TD Bank will never charge you a fee at TD or non-TD ATMs.
> Other banks’ ATM fees reimbursed with a minimum daily balance of $2,500
Charles Schwab https://www.schwab.com/client-home

I'd check out some credit unions, mine (Bay Area CA) has this perk for certain level of checking acct and I did successfully use it abroad as well
Permtacular@reddit
Exactly. My checking account in northwestern WA state gives $10 in ATM refunds a month, but also pays 5% interest on the first $5000 deposited. No minimum balance.
Icy_Web9753@reddit
Which credit union is this?
notedcritic@reddit
Ally Bank has been good to me. $10 a month of fees refunded whereas my CU only does $3
ChainHomeRadar@reddit
First Republic uses to do this... till they got bought by chase :(
Fledgeling@reddit
First Republic offers free ATM fees across the board, including international and exchange fees. That's always been my go to for debit and travel. Just need to keep $3500 in the account to avoid fees.
Only bank I am aware of with this level of benefit.
TSLUFFY@reddit
Does FRB still have the free ATM fee as they got acquired by Chase?
LawyerMcLawface@reddit
Nope. I just got my notice they're converting me to a chase account. Found this thread while shopping for a new bank (I will not go from FRB's customer service to the bowels of Chase).
Cheap_Farmer1352@reddit
Did you end up finding a good alternative? I am in the same situation and sad to be losing the benefits. (that's how i found this thread too)
LawyerMcLawface@reddit
Just signed up with Charles Schwab.
TSLUFFY@reddit
Ah that make sense! I saw the notices as well and wonder would it be better just close the FRB and open Chase on my own to get intro offer of checking account.

No customer service beats Charles Schwab. Yes they deal with million dollar holding stock traders, but also me, with like 4K in my account when my card was stolen in Paris. They overnighted one for a $15 fee, and reimbursed the $500 euros that was also stolen via my card, all with ease.
spinnerspiner@reddit
Charles Schwab is great. No foreign transaction fees ether. They pay for both sides of atm fees.
true_tedi@reddit
who tf pays for transactions with debit???? card should solely be used for when needing to withdraw cash.
baskaat@reddit
Agree. Best customer service hands down and the ATM rebates save me at least $75/ year.
intaminag@reddit
Schwab just canceled my account without telling me. Cited identity theft. And yet no other financial institution has any hint that I have had my identity stolen (including Equifax, who Schwab said made the report in the first place).
I was so happy with them but now I'm searching for an escape. Straight up CANCELED my account. My money is inaccessible. Insane.
true_tedi@reddit
File a CFPB complaint.
yinshiyi@reddit
I used Charles Schwab a few times on bank ATMs Anyone used in random gas station ATMs, are those also reimbursed?
Also I remember the key difference is fidelity immediately reimburse you but Charles has to wait until the statement ends
yinshiyi@reddit
Just confirmed now schwab is also INSTANT fee reimbursement, gotta love charles schwab, good on you. Hope you can stay this way and I will keep using your services.
PSA always decline the ATM machine conversion service and charge the local currency
somedude456@reddit
Pretty sure CS does fer paybacks on statements, so monthly. They claim all fees.
yinshiyi@reddit
thanks!
Extreme-Evidence7235@reddit
You can use the ATM Fee Saver app or website - it will give you a list of ATMs with no fees or lower fees than others along with withdrawal limits there, helped me quite a bit when i was there, it will help you too. enjoy your trip!
Alfrance1@reddit
Would love to know those banks that provide a refund.
Btw, we decided to collect all ATM fees in different banks into a single place to help fellow travelers and digital nomads find the most affordable ATMs possible in any country: https://atmheaven.com/. Hope this is helpful.
Invited everyone as well to update the fees in reddit.com/r/ATM_Heaven.
green-gazelle@reddit
I've had the TD account you listed for several years and I'm pretty happy with it. I travel all over the world and take out local cash when I get there. TD refunds the fees
tbetts92@reddit
When did TD reimburse your atm fees? Have a Beyond checking account and not seeing a reversal. Wondering if it is monthly
ynnebaa@reddit
PNC Virtual Wallet Pro (states with no physical branch) up to $20, and no FTF on atm withdrawal. FTF only applies to purchases.
