In your opinion, are CNTs a pipe dream?

Is this a, “I think we could jump the technical hurdles if enough money was poured into research” type of sitch? I know sorting out the semiconductors from the conductors is a task and a half, so is aligning nanoscopic objects. And also manufacturing at scale… and a number of other hurdles I can’t remember right now. Free free to get as technical with your answers as you’d like. Just a boy dreaming of a PC 10x as powerful as the bleeding edge today.

Yeah dont expect pcs much more powerful than todays best. Silicon is the best we have and others like gallium and diamond and carbon nanotubes are basically dreams.
