The flooding videos coming out of China this year have been non-stop. Those poor people's harvests are going to be non-existent this year.
I saw on the news that the US had four 1 in 1000 year flooding events in one week just weeks ago.
Insane heat waves ALL over.
Pretty soon even the deniers are going to be themselves suffering and connecting dots.
Way too late though.
Wave after wave of famine is coming in the next decade.

Weirdly, fresh water, I think, will be a problem before food.

I'm hoping the recent polymer gel tech I've seen can be mass produced. It can extract a good amount of drinkable water out of the air at night and as the sun heats the gel in the day the water gets squeezed out. Enough to live on. And the air is just going to get more humid.
They can be used for at least a year right now, but I'm sure the tech will improve rapidly (if we don't all die first)
Although who's going to pay for that for thirsty strangers? Billionaires? LOL
So yeah, point taken.

Smoke em if you got em
scrammouse@reddit
We've had bad floods in NZ too also Australia.

There’s not many deniers. They’ve moved onto: the earth has always changed. This is all natural!
ExtensionMoose1863@reddit
Looking at this chart filtered for just the anomalies was pretty amazing... check out the sea of Japan! I'm not smart enough to know how that impacts weather patterns/jet stream in north america but I'm guessing it's not good
Flightless_Turd@reddit
Well at least I'll get to say I told you so to all these dumbass deniers
tezmo666@reddit
So pretty much conclusive heating is now locked in, not anomalies if you look at the last 3 years being the warmest since this data started being recorded this way. Seems like across the board every climate scientist I follow is screaming into the void about what's coming down the road and media coverage is so minimised it's extremely suspect imo.
I think we've also drastically over estimated the resilience of habitats to climate change. All of this is happening way too quickly for species to adapt or settle elsewhere. Enjoy your shellfish while you can because they won't be in abundance for much longer.
iridescent-shimmer@reddit
Enjoy oxygen in the atmosphere while we have it too lol.

My conspiracy theory is billionaires know what's coming and that's why they're building these remote compounds all of a sudden
EnvironmentalKey3858@reddit
The Guardian straight up released an article about the compounds in New Zealand with Zuckerberg or whoever literally saying "yeah it's so we can survive when the world starts collapsing" and no one said a word about it... Here we are lol
Ostriches with their heads in the sand one and all.
CorvidCorbeau@reddit
What was supposed to reduce SSTs significantly? 2023 and 2024 caused a lot of ocean heating, 2025 is ENSO neutral, so basically no cooling occurs aside from this tiny drop. It'd take multiple "cooler" years for ocean temperatures to get closer to the average.
blackcatwizard@reddit
There won't be anything left for much longer
CannyGardener@reddit
I find it interesting how r/Prepperintel and r/collapse have started to converge over the last couple of years. Legit had to see what board I was reading on, as I'm on both.
tezmo666@reddit
I mean yeah they are intrinsically linked no?
HomoExtinctisus@reddit
My guess is indelibly .
blackcatwizard@reddit
Kind of inevitable, eh? Just different rates of awareness and learning (not a knock, just how things play out).
CannyGardener@reddit
Ya, I mean, when I think about it, it totally does make sense. Just kind of struck me here this morning how many posts overlap, and how the viewpoints on each sub are slowly converging.
Bob4Not@reddit
I’ve seen so many flood videos from all over the world this year, it’s nuts.
jar1967@reddit
It is about to hit the fan,the political ramifications will be just as bad as people start to blame greed and unregulated capitalism for the climate catastrophe.
NightlongCalcite@reddit
DaGlozzyGibler3@reddit
They been trying to warn us but it’s oh well at this point gents now we can only hope it doesn’t turn out as bad as the warnings said it would all these years especially coming from AL Gore! God speed and God bless everyone!
