As tsunamis hit shallower water, they slow down. The whole Puget Sound is shallow compared to the Pacific and is also a dog-leg. The downside to that is the water is forced into a narrower channel and means a higher wave.
That makes sense, but wouldn’t Seaside be affected the same way to some degree then since it’s so close to Tacoma? Just weird seeing the 2 closest cities on this graphic having the furthest apart times.
Seaside is on the Pacific Coast with no barriers between it and the epicenter. Tacoma has the barrier of 150 or so miles of shallow turning Puget Sound.
I have a theory that the tsunami wave hit the coastlines in such a way that the planet started spinning the other direction, reversing the arrow of time.

Tacoma isn’t under tsunami advisory or watch not sure why Fox included it?

It’s fox. If they say the sky is blue you better go double check

It's night time
Snoo-72988@reddit
I think Fox it’s dumb and thinks Tacoma is on the Pacific Ocean.
ThrowAwayGarbage82@reddit
It's because the tsunami warning center had it on their list for arrival times.
makk73@reddit
The local Fox Affiliate for The Puget Sound region (Q13) is based in Tacoma.
IlIIllIIlllI@reddit
Also why would it be the latest one when it’s the closest to the epicenter?
battlebeez@reddit
Well the wave has around 100 miles of land to get thru first.

Maybe it's just them being bitter about Seattle for some reason? Tacoma should be in less danger than Seattle.

This has me concerned for a minute and also confused.
