Tulsi just spoke on the importance of a peaceful transfer of power (she's gone full 1984)

Tulsi Gabbard: "In this system, there is to be a peaceful transition of power ... so yes, this is a treasonous conspiracy"
Let me get this straight... Tulsi is suggesting that in 2016 when there was irrefutably a peaceful transfer of power in every respect (everyone did the normal meetings, transition tasks, inauguration attendence, wishes of success, etc.), Obama acted in a treasonous manner to somehow thwart the peaceful transition of power.
Not mentioned of course is the only actual disturbance to our tradition of a peaceful transfer of power in modern history when Trump spread lies about the 2020 election results for months and then instigated an insurrection on the capital.
Wow. Tulsi has truly hit rock bottom. This is completely insane and embarrassing. I can't believe I was once excited about her running for president.
watching_whatever@reddit
Let’s see what the Department of Justice actually does with the documents and information supplied by Tulsi. She has stated her views very clearly whether you agree with them or not.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
Yes she was clear. It's also clear that she's literally and openly pushing doublethink like I've never seen...
Let's review all the normal tasks that Obama did to ensure a peaceful transfer of power in 2016:
Public Acknowledgment & Support- Congratulated Trump the day after the election. Said he was committed to a “smooth transition” and wished Trump success.
White House Meeting- Met with Trump two days after the election to begin the handoff. Maintained a respectful and cooperative tone.
Transition Coordination- Directed all federal agencies to cooperate with Trump’s team. Provided full briefings, security access, and transition memos.
Inauguration and Personal Letter- Attended the inauguration and upheld all traditions. Left a personal letter in the Oval Office wishing Trump well.
I probably don't need to remind you of all the shit that he didn't do right?
Didn’t deny the election results.
Didn’t incite an insurrection or delay certification.
Didn’t obstruct the process or question Trump’s legitimacy.
Obama respected the outcome and prioritized democratic norms. That’s what a peaceful transition looks like.
watching_whatever@reddit
Grand Jury has reportedly been appointed from the Tulsi evidence and referral against high level Obama officials. Time will tell.
ThewFflegyy@reddit
accusing the new president of colluding with a foreign power to cheat the election is denying election results, albeit in a more subtle way.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
Name one action Obama personally took or even an accusation he privately made. He didn't echo claims made by Clinton or Lewis... In fact he discouraged inflammatory rhetoric.
Not interfering with the IC investigations about legitimately bizarre connections to Russia is nowhere near treason. Tulsi is absolutely wrong and it's a dangerous and disgusting way to behave to get back into the good graces of her boss or whatever she's trying to do. She seems to not understand her the implications of her actions. Completely ass backwards considering the way trump behaved in 2020 when he actually attempted to retain power and incited a violent insurrection to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.
This is so crystal clear... You're a true MAGA cultist if you think Obama is treasonous and Trump isn't when it comes to a peaceful transfer of power.
ThewFflegyy@reddit
have you forgotten what thread you are commenting on? the topic of this thread is documents about actions he took.
the connections to russia were not bizarre at all. yes, a billionaire had business connections around the world. how bizzare?
i am a maga cultist? i am a communist you idiot. i do not support trump.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
Have you read the document she released? The point of this thread is the dishonest manner in which Tulsi conflates the actions and then concludes treason.
If you don't think the connections to Russia are abnormal then you have read up on them... Also if note is the way trump lies about the connections. Why blatantly lie if it was just business as any other millionaire does?
PackAttacks@reddit
Provide proof of what you say.
ThewFflegyy@reddit
what is the topic of this fucking thread? documents about about how obama cooked up bs investigations to bring trumps legitimacy into question. do you really need me to link the docs this thread is discussing for you?
Wide-Economist7716@reddit
spot on … sick people …
riftwave77@reddit
Man I wish some of you could see yourselves in the mirror. You don't think the Harvard Law grad who taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago is more intelligent than the trust fun baby, racist pdf-file who bankrupted multiple casinos and get into flame wars on twitter?
Lol.
CJ4700@reddit
She’s talking about Obama and his crew cooking up fake intel about Russia hacking elections and alleging Trump was a Russian asset when no such evidence existed, just look at the trove of documents she’s released. Regardless of how you feel about Trump it’s corrupt and wrong for Obama to use his office to create fake intel that started the entire Russia gate hoax.
warfel57@reddit
Obama administration indicated that Russia was using social media to influence the 2016 election, two congressional investigations came to that conclusion as well. The senate committee headed by Marco Rubio reached that conclusion as well. There was a special prosecutor appointed that looked into this. Declassified documents are not new documents but information that has been investigated thoroughly. Even if Obama did something illegal the Supreme Court has given a President “total immunity” so the idea that tulsi wants the doj to pursue charges is laughable.
ThewFflegyy@reddit
and through all those investigations what did they find? a few jesus masturbation memes coming from russian bot farms.
and btw, some degree of social media interference in elections is something that every major power engages in, including the us. so this was never a ground breaking story to anyone who is not an idiot. it is just the way the world works. trying to take a normal occurrence seem like a big deal by lying about trumps connection to it, and its real significance is pretty dishonest. i mean really, do you have any idea the social media and ngo activity we engage in within russia?(well ngos are gone now post ukraine war, but that is our own doing)
Lastonedown80@reddit
Have you never been on a boomers Facebook page? It’s relentless Pro-Trump nonsense.
Half of it takes no place in reality. Yeah I’d say Russia controls the minds of most 65+ people in the country.
ThewFflegyy@reddit
no, why the hell would i go on a boomer facebook page?
ok, what is your logic here. that because it is pro trump nonsense it must be russian? i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but both their psychosis, and your psychosis about everything being russians in disguise are home grown and a reflection of the sickness of our own society.
Lastonedown80@reddit
Yes!! These pages have been traced back directly to Moscow.
On top of that they sprinkle in pro-Putin stuff. Have you not seen any documentary or news footage of these warehouse of Russians making fake social media profiles
And they tried to get into our voting machines.
I can’t believe I’m telling this to someone in 2025
ThewFflegyy@reddit
there has never been any evidence made public of a significant impact via social media influence by the kremlin in the us. the mueller report was unable to find shit besides jesus masturbation memes, a few niche events which the kremelin helped organize, etc. never any proof of anything with significant impact.
Lastonedown80@reddit
They try to do this with every western country in the world. This isn’t just a US thing. We must be the only country that has citizens who somehow look at all the evidence and deny it.
ThewFflegyy@reddit
you are correct. what you seem to be missing is that we do it as well. china does it. germany does it, etc. this is standard practice for all major world powers. to treat this as an aberration that deserves special attention or was especially impactful requires evidence to support that, of which you have none. just outlandish conspiracy theories in a blue instead of red like the trump supporters conspiracy theories.
PackAttacks@reddit
Y’all have never read the Mueller report. Download it. It’s a pdf. Then upload it to AI and ask it questions. It’s amazing how much you all think you k ow that is wrong.
CJ4700@reddit
The mueller report couldn’t even link Trump to Russia, he flat out says so.
PackAttacks@reddit
The Mueller investigation documents multiple non‑criminal links between Trump campaign members and Russian actors—described throughout Volume I, Section IV and summarized in the report’s broader findings. These include direct meetings, exchanges of information, and campaign actions influenced by Russian interference. However, investigators did not find sufficient evidence to prove a criminal conspiracy or coordination.
Volume I, p. 66 – States: “The Office identified multiple contacts – ‘links’, in the words of the Appointment Order – between Trump Campaign officials and individuals with ties to the Russian government.”
Volume I, p. 180 – Explains: “The Office’s investigation uncovered evidence of numerous links (i.e., contacts) between Trump Campaign officials and individuals having or claiming to have ties to the Russian government… after considering the available evidence, the Office did not pursue charges…”
The June 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Trump campaign members (Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner) and a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer promising opposition research on Hillary Clinton. Although not criminal, the meeting represents another tangible link to Russian influence efforts.
This section details numerous contacts between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and Russian government-linked actors, describing them as part of a “coordinated effort.” While the investigation concluded it did not establish criminal conspiracy or coordination, these links are documented in full—you can find them in Section IV.

Hence the Tulsi alliance. Never forget, they smeared Tulsi the exact same way.
You'd think so, but some people are so in their echo chamber that they forget "both are bad" is a valid view point
ThewFflegyy@reddit
the even tried to do the same thing to bernie. anyone with an above room temperature iq knew that it was 100% bullshit.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
I'll complain with you all day about bullshit the Democratic party has pulled over the last 10 years. Ousting Bernie, Biden dementia, etc... Tulsi's accusation that Obama committed treason and didn't hand over power peacefully is some dangerous bullshit that is on another level.
Tell me you agree with her that Obama didn't hand over power peacefully but Trump did and we can start another discussion about IQ and what qualifies as bullshit.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
It's easy to throw around “Russia hoax” now, but hindsight is 20/20. At the time, the intelligence community was dealing with a pretty alarming situation... a presidential candidate with a long history of shady business dealings and weird connections to Russia.
Multiple investigations weren’t some made-up conspiracy. they were legit responses to real red flags. The Mueller investigation, the Senate Intel Committee (Republican-led), and Trump’s own DOJ confirmed Russia attempted to interfere in 2016, and that Trump’s campaign had a lot of shady interactions, even if they didn’t charge a criminal conspiracy.
Saying Obama “cooked it all up” ignores a lot of facts. The FBI investigation started because a Trump adviser bragged to an Australian diplomat about Russia having dirt on Clinton... not because of the Steele dossier (which was handed to the IC by a Republican senator, btw). Also, Mueller found multiple instances of potential obstruction that couldn’t be charged because of DOJ policy.
You don’t have to love how it all played out, but pretending it was just a hoax is ridiculous.
Anyway, back to my main point about the transfer of power... Obviously she was referring to the investigations and trying to re-write history to suggest treason by Obama. It's absolutely insane and a backwards lie. There 100% was a peaceful transfer in 2016 regardless of the investigations that the IC had started.
There 100% was NOT a peaceful transfer in 2020 with the big lie promoted by Trump and the Jan 6th insurrection.
It's completely embarrassing that Tulsi has sunk so low here.
thetennisgod@reddit
"You don’t have to love how it all played out, but pretending it was just a hoax is ridiculous."
Based on Tulsi's history with Hillary (which as a former person "excited about Tulsi running for president" you should know) it seemed like the Democratic establishment liked to throw Russian accusations around at anyone they didn't like. I don't give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't have nefarious intentions the whole time. Honest question, when where you excited about Tulsi running b/c most of us who lived through all of the non-sense are a lot more skeptical of Russia sympathy/collusion accusation non-sense than you are.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
I was excited during her whole run in 2019/2020. Are you talking about the Trump collusion accusations? Or accusations against Tulsi? I ignored the accusations against Tulsi. The only thing that has me skeptical of influence on Tulsi by Russia are her own words and actions since she turned MAGA... but that is likely a result of adopting the attitude of her boss.
walkinthedog97@reddit
So sad to see. I'll admit i was fooled by her even up until the past few months. Sad

Theghostofjoehill@reddit
“irrefutably a peaceful transfer of power”? Did you read ANY of the documents she released? By definition, the Russiagate hoax was designed to undermine that. The fact that it didn’t keep Trump from being inaugurated doesn’t change Russia Russia Russia.
Dear Penthouse Forum: I used to LOVE Tulsi Gabbard but then I realized that using state-funded media to sell a complete lie to the American people was….so….hot.
haberstr@reddit
Tulsi is right that in 2016 Obama acted in a treasonous manner by forcing the intel community to lie that Russia had interfered in the US election. This act benefited the US military-industrial complex, because it made it impossible for Trump to carry through on his promise of detente with Russia.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
You're in a cult.
haberstr@reddit
Obama was caught red handed Tulsi fully documented that the intel agencies reported no meaningful Russian interference and so Obama demanded a report with the opposite conclusion.
One reason people can't accept reality is that they may be in a cult, but alternatively you may simply be informed by a lying and misleading mainstream corporate media narrative.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
Tulsi is intentionally conflating the attempt to manipulate or attack voting machines/counts with attempting to influence the election. Multiple investigations found that they did attempt to influence the election. The document she released states they didn't try to hack machines or change vote counts. The report that there was no meaningful interference with vote counts/machines was accepted by Obama and he peacefully handed over power to Trump. Tulsi's claim of treason is unfounded and ridiculous. Great way to distract from Trump being Epstein's best friend for 15 years though.
The larger IC concern with Russian influence attempts was legitimate and proven to be correct in multiple bi-partisan investigations... including Trump's CIA director. Collusion was not proven and Obama accepted what the IC found.
haberstr@reddit
What about this: "the intel agencies reported no meaningful Russian interference and so Obama demanded a report with the opposite conclusion."
You've avoided the intel agencies TWO REPORTS in December 2016, the first honest and authentic - which Obama rejected - and the second b.s. to conform to a warmonger, anti- Russia and anti-Trump agenda.
late_warmonger@reddit (OP)
You're blatantly ignoring Tulsi's obvious dishonesty here. If you believe she's so brilliant, then you must believe she's smart enough to know the difference between tampering with voting infrastructure and hacking emails right? I think she's smart enough to know the distinct differences there. Read the document she released and listen to her words. She's become great at newsmax level MAGA propaganda to please her boss.
The report she released states that Russia did not attempt to tamper with voting infrastructure. This is very specific and important/easy to distinguish from the hacking and social media propaganda that Russia did perpetrate. Obama never claimed anything that the IC didn't conclude and he didn't force the IC to manufacture anything. It was an important function of the IC to investigate the actions that Russia took to influence an election. Multiple investigations found that they did take those actions. These investigations were NOT forced by Obama. Republicans involved in the investigations would have loved to pin something treasonous on Obama, but they didn't because they couldn't. It takes a lying MAGA cultist to do that.
That's where Tulsi dishonestly conflates things. Do you know why she's doing that? Because she's following Trump's strategy of relying on stupid cultists to not think twice about what she's saying and conclude without evidence that there was treason by Obama. The MAGA cult will believe it all.
haberstr@reddit
Gabbard: “For months before the 2016 election, the Intelligence Community maintained that Russia lacked both the intent and capability to hack U.S. elections. But once President Trump won, everything changed.”
A December 8, 2016 draft of the President’s Daily Brief stated that Russia “did not impact recent U.S. election results” through cyberattacks. Prepared by the CIA, NSA, FBI, DHS, and other agencies, the report found no evidence of voting interference.
But the draft was pulled — “based on new guidance,” according to internal emails. Hours later, a high-level Situation Room meeting took place, attended by officials including DNI James Clapper, CIA Director John Brennan, National Security Adviser Susan Rice, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
According to declassified notes, attendees agreed to produce a new intel assessment AT PRESIDENT OBAMA'S REQUEST. That January 6, 2017 report said Russia had intervened in the election to help Donald Trump — directly contradicting earlier assessments.
Gabbard said the revised assessment leaned on the discredited Steele Dossier and disappeared dissenting views within the intelligence apparatus. Gabbard: “This was not intelligence gathering, it was narrative building.”

plsobeytrafficlights@reddit
Is it a democrat thing or a republican thing which deregulated banks? wasnt it bush jr who went on and deregulated wall street and obama was the one who dug us out of the economic collapse? Obama's administration was 8 glorious years of being able to invest in anything and it was profitable. then, under trump, multiple trade wars and absurd tariffs drive up the cost of home construction AND the value of the dollar has dropped 10%, not to mention general inflation which biden spend his entire time fixing -and mind you, doing it without driving up unemployment. nah. i aint buying that shit at all.
